When Believing in Jesus Christ Gets You Kicked Out of the Church

24 August 2026 at 21:51

Christian churches during the COVID Scamdemic.

by Brian Shilhavy

In John chapter 9 we have the incredible story of how Jesus healed a man born blind, and gave him eyesight for the first time in his life. It is a story that was not recorded in the other three historical records of the life of Jesus in the New Testament portion of the Bible.

It is helpful, however, to understand the context of this story, and why John probably included it in his own historical record of the life of Jesus Christ.

In the previous chapter, John chapter 8, Jesus clearly divided the Jewish believers of his day into two categories: those who truly knew God, whom Jesus always referred to as his “Father”, and therefore believed in and loved Jesus.

The other category of Jewish believers were those who religiously followed the Law of Moses and other Old Testament writings, but did not know Jesus’s Father, and therefore rejected everything Jesus taught, because it threatened their power base and position in Israel.

To these Jews, Jesus stated that their father was “the devil.”

Jesus stated a very important principle about “language” and understanding between these two groups, especially when it came to the truth.

Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.

When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! (John 8:43-45)

When someone has believed something as true their whole lives, which in fact is not true, it becomes very difficult for them to change their minds and admit that what they held as true for so long is, in fact, not true, because it could have devastating consequences.

It is much easier to accuse the person who is speaking the truth as the one who is lying, than to accept a truth that could totally disrupt your life.

This was the situation with the Jewish believers during Jesus’s day.

For example, the Law of Moses had very specific ways of dealing with illnesses, and only a priest could declare someone “clean” or “well.”

So when Jesus appeared on the scene, who was not from the tribe of Levi whom the Levitical priests derived their authority from, and then started healing people outside of their system, it was a direct threat to their authority, and control over the people.

What John then does in chapter 9, is illustrate this truth with the story of the man born blind.

As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth.

His disciples asked him,

“Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.

As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.

While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

(John 9:1-5)

The first thing Jesus does in this story is dispel a common myth believed in the Jewish religion at that time, that people born with disabilities must have been a result of someone’s sin.

Jesus also referred to himself as “the light of the world.”

Light chases away the darkness, so that things done in darkness can be plainly seen in the light, and therefore people can see the facts, or the truth, that the light exposes once the darkness is overcome.

Now, on to the miracle.

Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.

“Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means Sent).

So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. (John 9:6-7)

This was a unique miracle. Many of the miracles of healing that Jesus performed were done through speaking, or sometimes laying his hands on people.

In this one, he spit into the dirt to make “mud.”

This reminds us that according to the writings of Moses, specifically in the first book of the Bible, Genesis, that God formed man from the “dust/dirt of the earth.”

The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7)

There must have been some physical difficulties with this man’s eyes where the components we need in the physical realm to see were missing in him, since birth. Jesus apparently supplied whatever was missing that prevented him from seeing, by using dirt mixed with his own saliva.

This unnamed man recorded in John chapter 9 simply followed Jesus’s instructions, and began to have sight for the first time in his life!

Wouldn’t this be wonderful news for everyone who would learn about this?

No. This man’s simple act of obedience to Jesus that resulted in him receiving his sight for the first time in his life, defied the medical authorities of his day, who then began to treat him as a criminal, and then excommunicated him from the religious community for daring to defy the religious authorities.

Healing was not supposed to happen this way!! If the common people could get direct healing from Jesus themselves, what use was the current healthcare system currently in place, that was dependent upon religious and medical authorities?

Let’s look at the people’s reaction to this miraculous event.

His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked,

“Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”

Some claimed that he was. Others said,

“No, he only looks like him.”

But he himself insisted,

“I am the man.”

“How then were your eyes opened?” they demanded.

He replied,

“The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”

“Where is this man?” they asked him.

“I don’t know,” he said.

They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind. (John 9:8-13)

Notice how his neighbors and friends began a debate about whether or not this man had been born blind.

Even when he spoke up for himself to declare he was the same man, they could not understand his language, just as Jesus had said in chapter 8, because the truth did not conform to their own understanding of a world run by Satan.

So they brought him to the Pharisees, the authorities of the day, which would be the equivalent of reporting someone to the police/sheriff/ICE, etc. today.

Let’s see how the religious and health authorities of that day dealt with the fact that a man born blind could now see.

Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man’s eyes was a Sabbath.

Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight.

“He put mud on my eyes,” the man replied, “and I washed, and now I see.”

Some of the Pharisees said,

“This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.”

But others asked,

“How can a sinner do such miraculous signs?” So they were divided.

(John 9:14-16)

Notice how, just like this man’s neighbors and friends, the religious and health authorities could not understand what this man was saying about his own experience.

It didn’t make any sense to them.

Their “logic” went something like this: Someone who breaks the Sabbath (according to their interpretations/opinions about how one keeps the Sabbath) is a sinner. Therefore, this man could not have been healed by a sinner.

So they questioned him again in their dazed and confused state, and this time ordered that his parents also appear before their judicial review.

Finally they turned again to the blind man,

“What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.”

The man replied,

“He is a prophet.”

The Jews still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man’s parents.

“Is this your son?” they asked.

“Is this the one you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?”

“We know he is our son,” the parents answered, “and we know he was born blind. But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself.”

His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for already the Jews had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue.

That was why his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.” (John 9:17-23)

Imagine what this poor man was going through, simply because Jesus healed him! He was being treated as a criminal!

His own parents abandoned him, because they did not want to get kicked out of their church/synagogue.

They feared the religious and health authorities so much that they abandoned their son and let him fend for himself. And their fears were confirmed, because their son was excommunicated from the church, for daring to the tell the truth.

Whatever social and medical benefits he might have been receiving by being a member of the Jewish religious community, he now lost.

But receiving his sight obviously held some value for him, so he dared to speak up and confront the hypocrisy of the religious and health authorities, and was then punished for it.

A second time they summoned the man who had been blind.

“Give glory to God,” they said.

“We know this man is a sinner.”

He replied,

“Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”

Then they asked him,

“What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”

He answered,

“I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples, too?”

Then they hurled insults at him and said,

“You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”

The man answered,

“Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will. Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind.

If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

To this they replied,

“You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!”

And they threw him out (of the synagogue). (John 9:24-34)

The man who had an encounter with Jesus that resulted in him receiving his eye sight, was declared GUILTY of sinning, and excommunicated from the church.

Are things any different today?

No, they are not.

The times and the names of the religious and medical authorities have changed, but people who encounter Jesus and receive healing from him directly are still being kicked out of the religious communities.

We all witnessed it during the COVID Scam. Church members all across the world were told to put a face mask on, practice social distancing, and get Trump’s COVID-19 “vaccine” to comply with the Operation Warp Speed military campaign.

If you didn’t comply with these edicts, you could not be part of the religious community anymore.

Nothing has changed. The churches, synagogues, and pretty much every other kind of religious organization serve Satan’s world system, and if you dare to not comply, you will be excommunicated, and possibly even thrown in jail.

The medical system today is a disease management system that does not bring true healing, which is only available through Jesus Christ. They speak the language of Satan, not Jesus, because to do so would put them out of business.

The medical doctors today practicing pharmakeia, which is the Greek word used in the Bible that is typically translated with English words such as “witchcraft” or “sorcery”, are the new “priests” of today.

The medical system is the largest business in the word, and they will attack anyone who does not bow down and worship them.

Trump’s Renewed Economic War on Iran Risks Blowback

24 August 2026 at 17:13

Ryan Costello, Policy Director with the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), issued the following statement as the Trump administration moves to intensify its economic pressure campaign against Iran following months of war and instability:

“President Trump, the ultimate gambler in geopolitics, is poised to double down on a bad hand on Iran yet again.

“We’ve been down the maximum pressure road with Iran many times. What we’ve learned is that President Trump can impose extensive economic pain on Iran, but ordinary Iranians overwhelmingly bear the cost.. The ruling elite in Iran remains largely insulated, while Tehran has repeatedly refused to capitulate to Washington’s demands.. Trump’s gamble is that this time, amid the destruction of war, and with the reinforcement of a blockade, time is on his side and ultimately Iran will be forced to concede defeat.

“The pivot back to economic coercion comes with enormous risks the administration appears determined to ignore. After all, it was the United States that waived sanctions on Iranian oil already at sea during the height of the war in March, and again issued a waiver allowing Iran to sell oil freely in June. Now attempting to choke off those same oil sales exposes the contradiction at the heart of Trump’s strategy: Washington needed to relieve economic pressure when the consequences became too costly, yet is now betting that it can reimpose that pressure without suffering the same blowback.

“Within the United States, ordinary Americans are paying the price for this deeply unpopular war at the gas pump and in their grocery bills. Trump’s polls have plummeted amid the war - one he said he’d avoid - heading into all-important midterms. Continuing economic warfare risks deeper turmoil in the energy markets and the global economy, which could cascade into a full-blown catastrophe. Moreover, starting a trade war with China risks retaliatory measures that the U.S. economy can ill afford.

“Iran has also indicated clearly that it will not tolerate economic warfare and will escalate across the region, if necessary, to target any nation that supports President Trump’s efforts to cripple the Iranian economy. While the President may think economic warfare is less risky than military warfare, ultimately Tehran will view it as a different tactic in the same campaign to crush the country.

“None of this appears likely to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Rather, it appears intended to delay and avoid a deal that ends not just the war, but also the maximum pressure campaign that the President has waged since 2018. Oftentimes, admitting you have a problem is necessary in order to stop an addiction. President Trump has proven unable and unwilling to stop his gambling on Iran that risks further undermining U.S. and regional security and the global economy.”

‘Lawless killing spree at sea resumes’ as US announces fresh boat bombings

The US military has resumed its campaign of bombing alleged drug-trafficking vessels after a two-month pause in a campaign that many legal experts and human rights groups believe constitutes a murder spree.

In a Monday social media post, US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) said it carried out a “lethal kinetic strike on a low-profile vessel operating along established narco-trafficking routes” in the Pacific Ocean on Sunday. Two people were killed as a result of the attack, SOUTHCOM claimed.

In announcing the strike, SOUTHCOM Commander Gen. Francis Donovan said the attack was part of a campaign of “imposing total systemic friction on narco-terrorists—disrupting their operations, dismantling their leadership, and eliminating cartel terror across the region.”

Donovan’s boasts about the effectiveness of the boat strikes in combating the drug trade come less than a month after a leaked a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) analysis revealed that the boat-bombing campaign has not “reduced the amount of cocaine entering” the country, as drug cartels have found alternate methods for shipping their product into the US.

With the latest two casualties, the boat bombing campaign launched nearly a year ago by President Donald Trump’s administration has now claimed the lives of at least 223 people.

Adam Isaacson, director of the Defense Oversight program at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), criticized the administration for resuming its boat bombings despite “overwhelming evidence that they are murder; that many, likely most, of the dead are either super-low-level or uninvolved with drugs; and that cocaine supply is unaffected.”

Brian Finucane, senior adviser to the US Program at the International Crisis Group, delivered a similarly scathing assessment, commenting that “the Trump administration’s lawless killing spree at sea resumes.”

Nicholas Grossman, professor of international relations at the University of Illinois, described the boat strike campaign as “murderous” and “illegal,” adding that its victims are “not terrorists” and “may not even be drug traffickers.”

Investigative journalist Camila Lourdes Galarza observed that “there’s still no proof any of the victims” of the boat strikes were involved in the drug trade.

Lourdes Galarza sarcastically added that if the victims had been drug traffickers, “the US would probably give them a deal” like the one given to Juan Orlando Hernández, the former president of Honduras who was pardoned by Trump last year despite being previously convicted on narcotics trafficking charges.

Melon’s Odyssey On The Black Market For Life-Saving Cat Medicine

24 August 2026 at 18:33

When Sabrina Imbler’s cat, Melon, becomes seriously ill with what is later confirmed as feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), Imbler feels she doesn’t have time to wait for a formal diagnosis and turns to a Facebook group that connects desperate cat owners with a black‑market treatment: GS‑441524. Injecting Melon twice a day at home, they enter a frantic stretch in which the acidic drug causes a wound to open on Melon’s back, and she is sentenced to weeks in a hated recovery suit called a Suitical: “Melon was so upset that she lay on her side like a tipped cow for hours, her chin glumly fixed to the carpet.” With Melon finally fully recovered, Imbler has the space to look back on the desperate measures it took to save her.

The FIP Warriors contact met me in the lobby of their building, wearing a knit cap with cat ears. They proceeded to demonstrate how to deliver the medicine on their stuffed cat, Edward. I watched as they manipulated the stuffed toy, lifting up pockets in Edward’s “skin” into which I was to drive a 22-gauge needle at an angle into subcutaneous tissue. I paid $50 for two vials of injectable GS-441524, which was acidic to keep it shelf-stable. This acidity, the contact warned me, meant the injections burned. “It’s really best if you have help,” they told me. “Will you have help?” No, I told them. My ex was out of town and it was just me and Melon. “Well, you’ll figure something out,” they said. I would have to.

Trump Moves to Cut Beef Prices With Import Tariff Waiver

24 August 2026 at 13:01

President Donald Trump said the US will allow up to 300,000 metric tons of ground beef to be imported over the next three months to help lower prices, but some Republicans and cattle advocates criticized the move as harmful to American ranchers.

The Details: Trump said importers had agreed to sell the beef at 25% below current market prices, according to multiple media reports. The White House stated that Trump plans to sign an executive order on the tariff waiver within two weeks. His announcement did not identify the companies or foreign exporters involved.

"Today, I concluded a deal to substantially lower the price of ground beef for working American families," Trump said via Truth Social. "This deal will reduce prices for Americans while giving space for our Great American Beef Herd to grow again."

A Dispute Over the Herd: The National Cattlemen's Beef Association criticized the move, saying increased imports would not help rebuild the US cattle herd. CEO Colin Woodall said, "flooding the market with government-subsidized, below-market beef is not the way to rebuild the American cattle herd." Sen. Tim Sheehy, R-Mont., also warned that the policy could make it harder for ranchers to rebuild their herds.

Why Prices Are High: US beef prices have risen in 2026 as the cattle herd has fallen to its lowest level since the 1950s. The decline has been linked to years of drought, high feed costs and herd reductions. Imported beef already makes up part of the US supply, with much of the beef used for grinding coming from Australia and Brazil, according to economist Altin Kalo. The impact on grocery prices remains uncertain. Kalo told CNBC that imported beef is already selling at a steep discount and that the tariff has not been a major issue for importers.

How the Media Covered It: CNBC (Lean Left bias)  and Newsweek (Center) both highlighted GOP criticism of Trump's plan, specifically concerns about its impact on US ranchers. CNBC focused more on opposition from the cattle industry and uncertainty over whether the move will actually lower prices. Newsweek emphasized the political implications of high beef prices ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Newsmax (Right) presented the policy more favorably, emphasizing Trump's claim that it will lower prices while giving ranchers time to rebuild the US cattle herd.

US-Canada Trade Negotiations Fail, Canada to Levy Retaliatory Tariffs

24 August 2026 at 13:01

After a week of negotiations that initially resulted in the delay of a 50% American tariff on Canadian goods, talks have collapsed, and Canada is set to implement a matching tariff on $20 billion of US products beginning on September 8.

Inside Scoop: Politico (Lean Left bias) said it interviewed "more than a dozen current and former Canadian and US officials, lobbyists and business groups" and reported that the deal "buckled under a combination of last-minute demands and political constraints on both sides." It added, "US officials blamed Canada for introducing new asks late in the talks, including seeking lower tariffs on heavy trucks, while Canadian leaders – including Prime Minister Mark Carney – pointed the finger at turf wars within the Trump administration over who controlled key pieces of the deal."

US Statement: The Office of the US Trade Representative said, "Despite the U.S. offer to Canada to receive the best treatment of any major exporter to our market, new demands and walk backs of other commitments by Canada have upended the careful balance reached in the past days… This week, the United States agreed to provide even better treatment to Canada, offering significant tariff reductions on steel, aluminum, autos, and lumber." It called it a "missed opportunity" that "would have led to supply chain coordination on aerospace, complementary actions to address unfair trade practices, critical minerals cooperation, increased enforcement against imports produced with forced labor, and the announcement of formal U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) negotiations."

Canadian Statement: Canada's Liberal Prime Minister Mark Carney said, "For over a year, Canada has worked intensively and in good faith with the United States to negotiate a new comprehensive trade deal. We have been pragmatic, patient, and persistent. Our goal has always been to get the best deal for Canadians, never a deal at any price or on any time frame. Late last evening I instructed our negotiators to return to Ottawa. We cannot accept what the U.S. has offered, and we will not give what they have asked."

For Context: In 2025, US trade volume with Canada was over $700 billion, down from over $900 billion in 2024. During Trump's first term, his administration, alongside Canada and Mexico, replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with a new trilateral free trade agreement, the USMCA. Last month, the Trump administration declined to renew the USMCA and said it would pursue independent trade deals with each country.

Perspectives: An opinion by Steve Verheul, Canada's former chief trade negotiator, published by the Canadian outlet The Globe and Mail (Center), said the collapse "has left Canada in a difficult position, with uncertain and challenging times ahead" but "agreeing to the deal the U.S. was offering on Friday night would have been worse." An opinion published by The Washington Post Opinion (Lean Right) called the development "the latest sign that President Donald Trump's bulldozer approach to remaking the nation's trade relationships may be reaching its limits."

Zelenskyy Faces Call for Elections From Fired Defense Minister, Says They Would 'Destroy' Ukraine

24 August 2026 at 13:01

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has faced calls for new elections as his office faces corruption allegations, though he has expressed opposition to the idea.

The Catalyst: In July, Zelenskyy fired Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who many major mainstream outlets have described as "popular" within Ukraine. Fedorov had only served in his position for six months, and the firing prompted protests in Ukraine. On August 18, Fedorov called for elections in a YouTube video that Reuters (Center bias) described as a "bombshell" and "first such demand by a major Ukrainian political figure since Russia launched its full-scale invasion." Fedorov said, "Democracy cannot be held hostage by Russia. We must find a legal, safe and realistic mechanism that will allow Ukraine to renew its full democratic process even in the conditions of a long war." CNN (Lean Left) described Fedorov's address as "remarkable."

Corruption: A day after Fedorov posted his speech, the Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) launched a money laundering investigation into banks and lawmakers. Investigators say they found a scheme to misappropriate over $3 million to post bail for a former energy minister who was being investigated for money laundering. So far, a former lawmaker has been taken into custody, and Zelenskyy's deputy chief of staff, Iryna Mudra, was charged with money laundering.

New Comments: Zelenskyy replied to the calls for elections on Sunday and said, "I believe that if we want to destroy the country, then we can move towards elections during this kind of war." Also on Sunday, Fedorov told BBC News (Center) that Zelenskyy should be questioned on potential corruption in his inner circle, though he said he has never seen Zelenskyy engage in corrupt activities. He also said, "Not a single time have I received from him any task or assignment that would go against law or my sense of integrity."

Past Corruption Context: In November 2025, two of Zelenskyy's top ministers resigned after NABU and another corruption watchdog uncovered a $100 million kickback scheme. The investigation came four months after Zelenskyy attempted to neuter the watchdogs' powers but faced pushback from the EU and Ukrainian people.

Past Democratic Context: In December 2025, President Trump called for elections in Ukraine. Zelenskyy said he was "ready for elections" once the US and EU made security guarantees to Ukraine. In 2024, Zelenskyy fired his top general, Valery Zaluzhny, who had become increasingly popular with Ukrainians, prompting protests.

How The Media Covered It: Last week, when Fedorov released his address, an analysis from CNN opened by saying "a wartime president for six uninterrupted years must take many unpopular decisions," and framed elections as a difficult task that could lead to the defeat of Ukraine. Michael Brendan Dougherty (Lean Right) of National Review (Right) described Fedorov as Zelenskyy's "first serious political challenger" whose popularity is "likely" what prompted Zelenskyy to fire him. Kremlin-funded RT (Lean Right) highlighted framing and analysis from major mainstream Western outlets that suggested Zelenskyy may be "losing grip on power."

10 Movie Sequels That Took Decades to Arrive

24 August 2026 at 08:01

Movie sequels usually arrive within a few years of the original, allowing filmmakers to continue popular stories while audiences are still familiar with the characters. But some follow-ups take decades to reach the screen. Production problems, changing creative plans, unavailable actors, financial concerns, rights complications, or uncertainty about whether a sequel is even necessary can […]

What if America Went Completely Dark?

24 August 2026 at 12:00

More than a decade ago, a group of snipers shot up an electrical substation in Silicon Valley, striking power transformers and disabling the substation for nearly a month. The shooters were never identified; similar substation shootings, some by neo-Nazis, have taken place since. The longer Christopher Cox studies the American power grid—looking at aging infrastructure and ongoing transformer shortages, specialized manufacturing and rising demand, the massive energy consumption of data centers and whiplash usage of large language models—the more vulnerable it seems. “Somehow, we’ve made the industrial equivalent of a Fabergé egg the linchpin of our civilization,” Cox writes. “What would happen if someone started breaking them?”

The hope of restoring the grid would fade as fossil fuel supplies were exhausted, because so many utilities rely on them to “black-start” their generating units. A 2010 report called “High-Impact, Low-Frequency Event Risk to the North American Bulk Power System,” prepared by the Energy Department and NERC, condensed the entire disaster movie that would follow into a single paragraph: “The supply of food, water and fuel would degrade within days. The facile communication of information to the general population would be greatly complicated by the loss of cellphones, internet access and television. The economy would virtually shut down as electronic transactions could no longer be processed. After several days, widespread social unrest and confusion would ensue.” Thirsty, starved, dirty and surrounded by the useless machines we once depended on, we would be lucky if our misery ended at “confusion.”

The Children a Scientist Took Home

24 August 2026 at 12:00

Carleton Gajdusek won the Nobel Prize for his work on a disease in Papua New Guinea. But his biggest experiment was on the children he took from the field to the US—many of whom he sexually molested, with the knowledge and, in some cases, approval of his professional peers and colleagues:

In his journals and in letters to colleagues, Gajdusek was self-righteous, arguing that what he’d done was “no more serious than lying on the grass or picking a dandelion,” and he cited the Anga initiation rites as justification. These ceremonies had brought boys into their communities, as part of a shared passage into manhood, but Gajdusek treated them as a timeless license for the acts that he’d committed privately, one boy at a time. George Klein, a professor at the Karolinska Institute, in Stockholm, who was part of the Nobel Assembly for thirty-six years, validated Gajdusek’s opinions, telling him that he wondered if “the Western world can ‘catch up with you.’” He wrote, “I share your indignation about the typically Jewish-Christian-Moslem hypocrisy on sexual matters.” Gajdusek was troubled, though, by how many colleagues wrote letters saying that they knew the charges must be untrue. “I thought better of my friends,” he said. “They are dissimulating and lying.”

Spain’s Great Replacement: Half of unskilled construction workers are now foreign laborers

Spain’s construction industry is undergoing rapid demographic changes. Foreign-born workers in unskilled construction roles now make up 52.6 percent of all workers, according to data from Randstad from the first quarter

The data shows that foreign workers now exceed Spanish nationals for these unskilled roles by nearly 11,000 workers. The contrast is stark compared to pre-pandemic figures, when domestic laborers outnumbered foreign counterparts by more than 33,500.

Overall, the construction industry has lost 22,711 Spanish workers since 2019 while gaining 238,451 foreign employees, a figure that includes individuals with dual nationality. As a result, almost 36 percent of all construction workers, both skilled and unskilled, are now of foreign origin in the country.

The shift is equally evident among bricklayers. In 2019, Spanish bricklayers outnumbered foreigners by 111,000. Seven years later, that gap has narrowed to just 18,000 workers. Foreign labor has gained more than 16 percentage points in this category and currently accounts for roughly 48 percent of bricklayers working in Spain. While Spaniards remain the majority in most skilled roles for now, the statistical gap continues to shrink rapidly. Experts also predict that foreigners will increasingly dominate skilled and managerial positions in the future.

This transformation extends into specialized technical trades. The count of Spanish plumbers fell from 70,932 in 2019 to 57,781 today, while foreign representation doubled after adding over 10,000 workers. One in four plumbers in Spain is now foreign-born. Electricians show a similar dynamic, with about 32,000 foreign workers joining the profession since 2019, driving foreign representation up from under 11 percent pre-pandemic to nearly three out of ten today.

Industry analysts expect these patterns to hold due to impending retirements and low replacement rates among younger Spaniards.

Spain, like many other nations, is attempting to automate the construction industry as much as possible. However, instead of relying on advanced robots, Spain has so far shifted toward a modular construction approach in which concrete panels, bathrooms, and complete structural modules are built indoors in automated, factory-controlled settings that use machinery and assembly lines similar to those in the automotive sector. Cranes then assemble these modular components on site, requiring significantly fewer workers and dramatically cutting project delivery times.

Countries such as South Korea, by contrast, are racing ahead in automated construction, precisely because nations like Spain continue to rely on mass immigration, which is often cheaper in the short term but more costly over the long run.

South Korea does not only use automated construction in planning, but also in deploying commercialized robotics, automated modular manufacturing, and government-mandated smart construction.

Automated facilities, such as Space Factory, use advanced robotic arms to cut materials, assemble structural panels, seal joints, and fit window frames without direct manual intervention.

Unlike standard build sites in Spain, South Korean contractors actively deploy field robotics directly to job sites.

Automated rebar-tying robots and robotic concrete sprayers and finishers are routinely used by major developers, such as Samsung C&T and Hyundai E&C, to reduce heavy physical labor on high-rise residential projects. In addition, unmanned excavators and bulldozers guided by real-time GPS and drone mapping handle heavy site preparation.

Robots are even acting as supervisors to some extent, with autonomous quadruped robots, such as Boston Dynamics’ “Spot,” owned by South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Group, continuously patrolling construction sites, performing 3D laser scans to verify that progress matches digital blueprints.

As Remix News has previously reported, automation, robotics, and AI are all leading elements of Asian economies, which have chosen efficiency and technology over mass immigration and cheap foreign labor.
