All our problems basically come down to narrative control. People are manipulated into believing the story that Israel’s existence must be preserved at all cost because of this religious belief or that political ideology. People are manipulated into believing the story that western elections are real and that voting in the two-party system is the...

Today in dystopia, the military-industrial complex is reassuring investors that the wars will indeed be endless. Asked about concerns over falling defense stocks in a recent interview on CNBC, Lockheed Martin CEO Jim Taiclet replied, “Investors need to know and understand that this demand is not fleeting — it’s permanent.” In 2023 Taiclet called Washington’s soaring military...

During a speech at the Las Vegas Sphere on Saturday, Metallica frontman James Hetfield took aim at artists like Macklemore for making political statements about the genocide in Gaza during their concerts. “I just gotta say, Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their bullshit, okay?” said Hetfield, adding, “We’re...

The new issue of JOHNSTONE is now available to order in print or download as a pay-what-you-want e-book version. This issue features a painting of Jeff Bezos. It says so much about how diseased our society has become that the most revered and respected among us are emotionally stunted man-babies who have used monopolistic thuggishness...

Today I saw a post from a popular Twitter account saying, “As soon as AI is good enough to write blog posts in my voice as good as I would have written them, i intend to use AI to do so. I know what I want to say, and I could say so much more...

There’s a viral video clip showing a group of wild boars getting caught in a corral trap. When the gate snaps shut the poor animals run around in a panic, searching in vain for an exit. According to the caption that’s been going around, the trapper waited patiently for five days for the entire sounder...

Israel is so evil that it’s actually illegal for Israelis to tell the truth about it. Benjamin Netanyahu has just ordered Israel’s military, its attorney general, and its security agency Shin Bet to investigate and prosecute the soldiers who anonymously shared their experiences in the Gaza Strip with the award-winning investigative documentary “NAZA”. According to...

Techno-utopianism is the naive belief that technological innovation is going to create a paradise on earth for all of humanity. In the age of AI this notion has been enjoying a bit of a resurgence. Techno-utopianism is an infantile worldview to hold in the year 2026, because it is assumes we live in some kind...

A US-based nonprofit is planning to use AI surveillance to check for “hateful” speech about Israel inside classrooms in the genocide-ravaged Gaza Strip. The Associated Press reports: AP reports that the founder of Gaza Children Village, Dr David Hasan, seeks the “de-radicalization” of Gaza and has removed from his curriculum any language that “encou

The Pentagon plans to live-stream the firing squad execution of the Fort Hood shooter, and my head is so very heavy, and everything is covered in the ashes of a burning planet. I found the corpse of a water spirit down by the creek where my parents live. She used to play with me when...

I never asked to know what a dismembered child looks like. Israel imposed that knowledge upon me. I never wanted to know what it looks like when military explosives blow an infant’s head off. I only know it because Israel forced me to know it. The reason the Gaza holocaust hit westerners so hard is...

No one gives a fuck about October 7. No one cares. They used to, but then Israel spent three years showing the world why October 7 happened in the first place. After witnessing the cruelty and savagery of the state of Israel, people get it now. Everyone understands. After Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on...

I judge Jewish people’s character based on whether or not they oppose the genocidal apartheid state of Israel. This is also how I judge the character of people who are not Jewish. Ever since the UK Green party’s “Zionism is racism” motion we’ve been seeing this narrative circulating that Jews are somehow exempt from the...

On Sunday the UK Greens adopted a motion asserting that Zionism is a form of racism, defining the ideology as “an ethnonationalist political project.” Green Party leader Zach Polanski, who is Jewish, was immediately banned by the Israeli government from entering the nation after the motion was passed. As you might expect, Israel apologists are...

iden insiders are still trying to redeem themselves in the eyes of history through a New York Times article titled “‘Ready to Blow His Stack’: How Biden Nearly Cut Off Netanyahu Over Gaza” about how the previous president almost nearly sorta kinda thought about not committing genocide. I am so fucking sick of this. You...

They botched another execution in Tennessee. They stuck the prisoner full of seven different syringes, but she didn’t die. She just experienced extreme suffering, minute after excruciating minute, before eventually losing consciousness. Her name is Christa Pike. As of this writing, she is still alive. Pike committed a horrific violent crime as a young woman...

Being forcefully pro-Palestine is the most efficient way to weed all the worst people out of your life. It takes care of them all. Zionists. Islamophobes. Apathetic narcissists. Unthinking herd-minded right wing ideologues. Abuser-enabling “both sides” moral cowards. Emotionally stunted man-babies who turn every challenging conversation into an “allow me to play devil’s advocate” mental...

It pisses me off whenever I see someone claiming that “AI music” is about to make normal music obsolete. There is no such thing as “AI music” or “AI art”. AI cannot make music. It cannot create the experience of an artist using skill and intention to transport something from inside them into an audience...

I hate it when people say humanity’s problems will be solved by “artificial superintelligence” as though all we need to fix the cruelty and abusiveness in our world is an AI that is smarter than a human. Mark Zuckerberg voiced this talking point again today in a Twitter thread claiming that “superintelligence will create significant...

The Wall Street Journal has a new article out titled “Why Are So Many Adults Cutting Off Their Parents?” about the rising levels of family estrangement in our society. “Many experts believe that estrangements between adult children and their parents are becoming an epidemic in the U.S., just like divorce in the 1970s,” writes Elizabeth...
