Two hundred years after the publication of a book by Jacques Francois Gamba that captured life in the Caucasus in the early 1800s, the work has been published in the Georgian language for the first time.

RFE/RL’s Ukrainian Service correspondent Maryan Kushnir walked some 20 kilometers to reach the embattled city of Bilozerske, in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, which soldiers say has been effectively destroyed by Russian strikes over the past year.
