China's economy grew 4.5% year-on-year in the third quarter, up from 4.3% in the second quarter and above the 4.4% consensus forecast, the National Bureau of Statistics reported. Strong demand for Chinese hi-tech exports helped offset weak domestic spending and kept the country on track toward its 2026 growth target.
