Update for Corolla Facelift Buyers as Toyota cuts Prices by Rs1Lac

Toyota Corolla Facelift comes with lower prices for selected variants, as the company axed prices for two variants, revised styling, and additional cabin features. The introductory ex-factory prices range from Rs6.099 million to Rs7.749 million, according to automotive reports dated October 14, 2026.

The biggest headline for budget-conscious buyers is a Rs103,000 reduction in the prices of both 1.6 Altis Manual and 1.6 Altis CVTi. At the other end of the lineup, Toyota has introduced a Grande variant with a chestnut interior, priced Rs40,000 above the black-interior version. The update, however, is not an entirely new-generation Corolla. Instead, it refreshes Pakistan’s long-running 11th-generation model with exterior revisions, interior changes and additional convenience features, while retaining the existing petrol engines and transmission options.

Toyota Corolla 2027 Prices in Pakistan

Variant Old Price New Price Price Change
1.6 Altis MT 6,202,000 6,099,000 −103,000
1.6 Altis CVTi 6,802,000 6,699,000 −103,000
1.6 Altis CVTi SE 7,339,000 7,339,000 No change
1.8 Altis CVTi 7,029,000 7,029,000 No change
1.8 Altis CVTi Grande, Black Interior 7,709,000 7,709,000 No change

With a difference of Rs1.65 million between the least expensive and most expensive variants, the refreshed Corolla lineup offers several configurations across the Rs6 million to Rs8 million price bracket.

The revised price list brings some relief for buyers considering the entry-level 1.6-litre models. 1.6 Altis MT has dropped from Rs6,202,000 to Rs6,099,000, while the 1.6 Altis CVTi is now priced at Rs6,699,000 instead of Rs6,802,000. Both variants have received an identical reduction of Rs103,000.

Not every model has become cheaper, however. The 1.6 Altis CVTi SE, 1.8 Altis CVTi and Grande with the black interior have reportedly retained their previous prices.

The new chestnut-interior Grande is priced at Rs7,749,000, carrying a Rs40,000 premium over the black-interior version. Meanwhile, the beige-interior Grande has been discontinued as part of the reported lineup changes.

Toyota’s latest refresh focuses heavily on appearance, particularly on the higher-specification variants. The facelift reportedly introduces a revised front grille and bumper, piano-black exterior detailing and integrated LED fog lamps on selected trims. The rear design has also received updates, while certain variants feature new 16-inch machine-finished alloy wheels.

The reported introductory prices apply to eligible vehicles invoiced between October 16 and December 31, 2026, subject to availability. The arrangement reportedly covers new bookings as well as existing orders placed by October 15, 2026, where a balance remains payable, provided the vehicles are invoiced within the specified period.

However, the introductory prices may not remain unchanged until delivery. Adjustments to government taxes, levies, tariffs, exchange rates or other applicable policies could affect the final invoice.

Petrol Price rises to Rs393.86 per Litre, Diesel dips to Rs396.65

ISLAMABAD – Petrol consumers in Pakistan are facing another price hike, with the fuel rate rising by Rs1.20 per litre, while diesel users have received only marginal relief under the latest petroleum price revision.

The revised rates, reportedly effective from October 15, 2026, bring petrol prices to Rs393.86 per litre, up from Rs392.66. Meanwhile, high-speed diesel (HSD) has become slightly cheaper, falling by 17 paisas from Rs396.82 to Rs396.65 per litre.

Petrol Price Rises To Rs393 86 Per Litre Diesel Dips To Rs396 65

The adjustment comes after expectations of a possible reduction in petrol prices, making the latest increase an unwelcome development for motorists already paying nearly Rs394 per litre.

The latest adjustment offers little comfort to consumers. Petrol users will now pay an additional Rs1.20 for every litre purchased, while diesel consumers will save just 17 paisas per litre. Although the diesel reduction provides a slight price concession, the petrol increase adds to the financial pressure on motorists and households that depend on fuel for daily transportation.

With petrol now priced at Rs393.86 per litre and diesel at Rs396.65, both major fuels remain close to the Rs400 mark.

Global oil prices remained firm amid escalating security concerns in the Middle East. Brent crude rose 13 cents to $105.56 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate gained 1.33% to $95.39, its highest level in more than two weeks.

Market concerns were fuelled by an attack on Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil company headquarters and growing threats to maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. UBS analyst Giovanni Staunovo said the risk of disruptions to regional oil supplies continued to support prices, although exports had largely held up so far.

Houthi Leader Akram Amer Captured by Yemeni forces amid Deadly attacks on Leadership

SANAA — Yemeni forces reportedly captured senior Houthi figure Akram Amer in the western countryside of Taiz, while separate, unverified claims suggest that several prominent figures within the Houthi leadership may have been wounded, killed, or detained.

The reported capture of Amer comes as fighting continues across multiple fronts, adding another potentially significant development to Yemen’s protracted conflict.

📍 The reported capture marks a significant development in the ongoing conflict in Yemen as fighting continues across several fronts.

— ARMY LIFE (@Sarfarosh_1947) October 14, 2026

Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi was reportedly injured in an airstrike. Some reports allege that he underwent leg amputation and remains in intensive care, although these details have not been independently verified.

The allegations extend to the group’s senior military leadership. Reports claim that Houthi Defense Minister Muhammad al-Atifi and military spokesman Yahya Saree have been killed. Other unconfirmed accounts place Saree’s body at Kuwait Hospital in Sana’a. Separately, a Houthi political figure has reportedly been arrested in the capital, though the individual’s identity and the circumstances of the alleged detention remain unclear.

These claims surfaced amid reports of intensified Saudi-led coalition airstrikes following alleged Houthi attacks on Riyadh airport, raising questions about the potential scale and consequences of the latest escalation.

The recent developments shows serious challenge to Houthi movement’s leadership and command structure. However, no definitive conclusion can be drawn until the reported captures, injuries, deaths and arrests are independently confirmed.

The development comes amid Houthi strike on Saudi Aramco’s headquarters in Dhahran after Saudi attack on an oil facility in Sana’a raised fears of a wider regional escalation.

Experts warned that the conflict could worsen before any resolution emerges, as Riyadh faces growing pressure over its security and energy infrastructure.

KP Emergency Resolution sails through both Houses of Parliament amid Opposition Protests

ISLAMABAD – National Assembly and Senate approved resolutions supporting the imposition of an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, marking a significant development in the federal government’s efforts concerning the province.

National Assembly approved the resolution presented by Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry by a majority vote. Opposition lawmakers strongly opposed the proposed emergency, raising slogans against the move during the proceedings.

Members from both the treasury and opposition benches debated the resolution for more than four hours before the National Assembly passed it. The development came as the Senate also approved the resolution concerning the imposition of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

National Assembly session was adjourned until Friday at 11 am.

The imposition of emergency measures in KP sparked political and constitutional debate in Pakistan, with the federal government citing security concerns and the opposition raising questions about provincial autonomy.

The government has justified its intervention by pointing to rising militant violence, cross-border infiltration and alleged shortcomings in the PTI-led provincial administration’s cooperation on counterterrorism. PTI has opposed the move, arguing that it threatens the authority of the elected provincial government.

President Asif Ali Zardari issued an emergency proclamation and imposed governor’s rule on October 11, 2026, on the prime minister’s advice. The announced arrangement includes the governor assuming specified provincial executive responsibilities, supported by an 11-member advisory council.

The key constitutional provisions include Article 232, which addresses emergency proclamations, Article 234, concerning the failure of constitutional machinery in a province, and Article 245, covering the armed forces’ role in aid of civil power.

The duration and legal consequences depend on the constitutional procedure followed and the official orders issued. The central dispute remains whether the intervention is necessary for security or undermines provincial self-government.
