Jeff Garlin reached his breaking point after a tumultuous chapter on "The Goldbergs."
The comedian, who exited the hit ABC sitcom in 2021 amid allegations of misconduct on set, opened up about his mental health crisis, his struggles with bipolar disorder and the treatment that helped him rebuild his life.
Garlin revealed he had planned to take his own life and even told a loved one the exact time he intended to die during his appearance on SiriusXM's "Where Everybody Knows Your Name."
"The last scene I ever filmed was me with Tim Meadows, Dave Koechner, and Troy Gentile, who played my son. And it essentially was a Pizza Hut commercial. No one told me," he said.

Garlin said he confronted the production team after learning the scene doubled as a pizza advertisement without his knowledge. When producers explained that the money would help hire another writer, he questioned why the corporation behind the show couldn't cover the expense itself.
The actor refused to participate in the promotional scene and instead insisted that producers film his character leaving before the pizza appeared.
"I left, and I knew I'd never come back to that set again," he said.
But walking away from the set didn't mark the end of Garlin's troubles.
Garlin said a producer later visited his home and asked what it would take to convince him to return to the show. Although he had no desire to go back, the comedian demanded a substantial raise and a reduced schedule of just one workday per week. To his surprise, producers agreed.

However, Garlin admitted the arrangement came at a cost.
"And so I had resentment from my castmates, not as much the crew, but there was great resentment from some of them," he admitted. "I didn't know it at the time, though. I was naive. I didn't know they knew anything about my anything."
As tensions surrounding the sitcom mounted, the comedian said he struggled with a devastating mental health crisis that pushed him to the brink and prompted a desperate message to a loved one.
"I had a nervous breakdown, and I was going to commit suicide," he recalled. "I reached out to Susie and I said, 'I hate when people don't reach out, but at noon today I will be dead. I'm letting you know I will be dead.'"

"And she called [ex-wife] Marla, and she called [girlfriend] Sari, and my friend Brad Morris," Garlin explained. "My girlfriend and my ex-wife called him. He's one of my best friends. He watched me while they were looking for a place for me to go."
Garlin said he traveled to Cincinnati in the dead of winter to seek treatment, where he underwent dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). He credited the treatment with helping him overcome his suicidal thoughts and regain enough stability to move forward with his life.
"I went to Cincinnati because I was serious," he explained. "I'm not going to some rehab in Beverly Hills. F--- that, man."
Garlin said he continued rebuilding his life through Alcoholics Anonymous, dialectical behavior therapy, regular counseling, boxing, physical fitness and creative projects that helped support his mental health and overall well-being.
"And I'm just now, this is from five years ago, whatever," he explained. "I'm just now feeling really good. Just now. Maybe the book coming out, but around now, really."

Garlin exited "The Goldbergs" in 2021 during the ninth season after allegations of misconduct on set and an HR investigation.
"I used to, over the years, wonder why people would avoid me when I was manic," he said. "Most of the crew enjoyed me being funny, but there were some I could see, like, 'What's their hesitation? That's so weird.'"
"And then other days I'd go home and go, 'Why was I apologizing all day?' I didn't understand. 'I'm a nice guy. Why am I apologizing?' And then other days I just couldn't feel anything. I was just dark. It was blackness around me, even if I drove home in the afternoon."

Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman, The Offspring founder and guitarist, was forced to take a break from performing due to a serious health issue.
Wasserman, 63, did not disclose his illness, but noted that his band "is super supportive" of his decision and ready to keep touring while he focuses on recovery.
"It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performances for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue," Wasserman shared in a post on Instagram.
"The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive, and will keep rocking you all in my absence. I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later."
He added, "Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it."

Singer Sawyer Hill is canceling his tour after a serious tour bus accident killed one of his crew members.
The rocker revealed on Oct. 14, his tour bus ran off the side of the road in the middle of the night near the Colorado-Wyoming border, then flipped.
"It was a terrifying experience for everyone on board, myself included, and we are devastated to share our driver lost his life," he wrote on Instagram.

He said several members of the crew and band were injured in the crash.
"The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and out of respect for that process and for our driver and his family, we aren't able to share further details at this time," he wrote.
He said after "careful consideration" he realized there wasn't a "viable path" for continuing his "Everybody's Home, Nobody's Happy" tour "and that the focus and priority for my band and crew should be on processing and healing."
Hill shares that the band is working on rescheduling dates, but refunds are also available for those who purchased tickets.

A family member of the driver identified him as David "Rollingcloud" Jackson, and wrote on a fundraising page that he suffered a medical emergency while behind the wheel and crossed three lanes of traffic before the bus rolled.
"Thankfully, the band members aboard the bus survived. Tragically David's life was lost," she wrote.
She shared that the family didn't know before his death that he suffered from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, and that he was also epileptic.

"Although the exact medical emergency that took his life remains unknown, the autopsy revealed that he had already passed away before the crash," she wrote. "When paramedics arrived at the scene, he was pronounced dead on arrival."

The family is asking for donations to bring his body back from Wyoming to Minnesota, where he lived.
Hill's followers expressed their sympathy in the comments of his post.

The Country Music Association (CMA) hosted "I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton" at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday night.
Some of the genre's biggest stars made appearances, both performing Parton's songs onstage and walking the red carpet in outfits inspired by the music legend.

She arrived on the red carpet wearing a $1,250 draped, satin gown from Bronx Banco's bridal line.
It had feather-lined bell sleeves, a low back, and a floor-length skirt. Ballerini paired it with an updo hairstyle and long diamond earrings.
She looked like a Hollywood starlet and perfectly mirrored the best of Parton's famous glam.

Wilson's signature style is pretty different from Parton's. The singer and "Yellowstone" star prefers bell-bottoms and cowboy hats to rhinestone dresses and big hairdos.
Still, Wilson honored the legend with her outfit: black trousers worn with a butterfly-print duster top. She also wore cowboy boots, a matching hat, and thick western jewelry.
Butterflies were famously Parton's favorite motif, as she grew up around them in Tennessee.

Chris Pratt is shedding light on the reality of raising four kids in Hollywood while keeping his Christian faith present in their lives.
During an interview with Fox News Digital ahead of the season 2 release of "The Terminal List," Pratt said that his faith is how he starts and ends each day.
The new season of "The Terminal List" premiered on Oct. 21, 2026 on Prime Video.
"Oh, God, you know, I'm for the most part, I'm always gonna be a man of faith. My faith is how I start my day, it's how I end my day. It's the most important thing that I'll be able to pass on to my kids," the actor began.

Wu told Fox News Digital that she's "never felt safer" on a television set before, due to all the veterans involved in the production.
"Yeah, you probably weren't," Pratt said. "We have 17 veterans on this in front of the camera, behind the camera. Writers, directors, tech advisors, safety coordinators, stuntmen, actors. So it was awesome."
Wu explained that in season 2, her character Katie cares more personally for Pratt's character, Reece.

"I think for Katie, I think she cares more personally for Reece, whereas before she cared a lot about the truth and the story, but she also cares for him as a person a little more, which I think changes a lot of things," Wu said.
