Why America Cannot End Wars

The problem with American peacemaking is no longer simply that Washington cannot stop today’s wars; it is that the power expected to end them is increasingly a participant in them. From Mediator to Participant Donald Trump arrived at the UN General Assembly with two unresolved wars dominating his agenda. He is meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr […]

Xi in Washington, Trump exults, and the embrace masks the rift

Xi’s recent visit to Washington was merely a tactical step rather than a genuine reconciliation. Beneath the façade of conspicuously displayed friendliness lies a persistent antagonism across various domains—an antagonism that both sides have learned to “manage,” including in ways that serve their respective domestic political objectives. Both fully aware that the perception of China […]

The Final Frontier Goes to War: The Militarisation of Space

Space is becoming an increasingly contested domain as major powers expand military capabilities, satellite infrastructure, and counterspace systems, while the U.S. Golden Dome initiative reshapes strategic stability and raises new questions about the future of space governance. On 14th September 2026, US Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink confirmed that the US has “on-orbit” […]

Why America keeps losing wars?

America has become an imperial power that aims to invade and dominate the weak countries. This tendency has created global insecurity and led America to lose wars. In terms of natural resources and firepower, America dominates like no other country. It has the largest and most flexible military, the most weapons, and the most devices […]

Trump and the Multipolar Middle East: Is Washington Unintentionally Creating Space for Its Rivals?

Donald Trump’s return to the White House in January 2025 pushed US Middle East policy toward a familiar mixture of pressure, bargaining, and demands for measurable economic returns. His May 2025 tour of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates made that approach particularly visible: investment, artificial intelligence, defence, aviation, and energy agreements dominated […]

Project Stargazer: Astronomy From Balloons

For a few hours on a December day in 1962, two men floated at the edge of space beneath a giant balloon, peering into the heavens through a telescope. Their mission, known as Project Stargazer, was an ambitious attempt to turn a high-altitude balloon into an astronomical observatory. Although largely forgotten today, it was one of the most remarkable scientific balloon flights ever undertaken and helped bridge the gap between ground-based astronomy and the space telescopes that would follow.

US Cannibalizes Its Proxies and Itself as War on Multipolarism Expands

As its war on multipolarism expands, Washington is converting the Western economy to arms production, draining its client states, and eroding its own social foundations — repeating the terminal trajectory of the British Empire. For decades, the US has leveraged its many client states as extensions of its own military, economic, financial, and political power, […]

Imperialism is not Dead, It is Alive & Kicking!

Imperialism, considered by public intellectuals to be a thing of the past, has been resurrected; this time, the actions of the American President Donald Trump clearly reflect that. Defined as the raw exercise of power in order to conquer territories and appropriate resources for the establishment of an empire, imperialism has had a long and […]

The Crisis of American Exceptionalism: A Look at the Election Campaign

Amidst a deep socio-economic crisis and acute political confrontation in the US, President Donald Trump is trying to turn around negative forecasts ahead of the congressional elections through populist measures and aggressive rhetoric, which only deepens the rift in American society and undermines the country’s standing on the world stage. Over the past few weeks, […]

Trump and Xi: Managing Rivalry Before It Becomes Conflict

The Trump-Xi summit did not mark a US-China rapprochement, but it demonstrates that sustained diplomacy and strategic guardrails are essential to prevent intensifying competition from becoming direct conflict. The recent summit between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump in Washington has demonstrated a significant paradox in contemporary international politics: the two superpowers […]

Douglas Corrigan's "Wrong Way" Flight to Ireland

When Douglas Corrigan climbed out of his weather-beaten Curtiss Robin at Baldonnel Airfield near Dublin on 18 July 1938, he claimed to have made a simple navigational error. He had departed New York the previous day, supposedly bound for California, yet after twenty-eight hours in the air he found himself on the opposite side of the Atlantic Ocean. Few believed his explanation, but the public loved the story and he earned the nickname “Wrong Way” Corrigan.

The flight was the culmination of a dream that had begun more than a decade earlier, when Charles Augustus Lindbergh’s historic solo crossing of the Atlantic in 1927 inspired a generation of would-be aviators. Corrigan, who had helped build Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis, was among those determined to follow in the famous pilot’s wake, though his own journey to aviation fame would take a far more unconventional route.

81st UN General Assembly: The Global Warlord Spits on World Peace

Trump’s speech at the 81st General Assembly shows that warmongering USA may accelerate in practice. Whether other nations respond appropriately is a separate matter. Trump’s Military Threat at the UNGA While the UN Charter, the document that established the United Nations (UN), prioritized the cultivation and maintenance of peace among nations, US president Donald Trump […]

America’s $40 Trillion Debt: The Point of No Return Has Arrived

On August 19, 2026, the United States national debt officially crossed the $40 trillion mark. The number has become so large that it risks becoming meaningless. That is precisely why it matters. Forty trillion dollars is no longer a projection or a warning about the future. It is the Treasury’s current balance-sheet reality. This is […]

No Purchase Necessary: Trump’s Strategic Takeover of Greenland

From Trump’s earlier push to acquire Greenland to the 2026 security agreement with Denmark and Greenland, Washington’s approach has shifted from territorial acquisition to strategic access — a shift that reflects a broader contest for control over the Arctic, supply chains and spheres of influence. Since his first term as the American President, Trump has […]

Washington, Beijing and the Taiwan question: how Washington lost control of the Indo-Pacific theater

Torn between its Russian, Chinese, Iranian and North Korean issues, American foreign policy has nonetheless revealed, over the decades, a constant hierarchy: the Sino-American rivalry remains the major geopolitical issue that structures Washington’s Asian policy. With one month to go before the midterm elections, the American election campaign, despite being structured by deep partisan divides, […]
