The prelate cited the theological fundamentalism found among Hindus, as well as among Evangelical Christians and xenophobic Catholics. He concluded with two resounding remarks—delivered before the final blessing of the Mass—regarding the “wars spread by NATO” and the possibility of reviving in Italy the concept of conscientious objection to military spending, as was done during the Cold War.

The network currently brings together over 2,600 priests from 57 nations, as well as 27 bishops and three cardinals.
