A Polícia Federal indiciou a deputada Gorete Pereira (MDB-CE) e mais 28 pessoas na Operação Sem Desconto, que mira retiradas não autorizadas em benefícios do INSS (Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social) por associações para aposentados e pensionistas.

Gorete foi indiciada sob suspeita dos crimes de organização criminosa, estelionato previdenciário qualificado e lavagem de dinheiro. De acordo com o relatório final da PF obtido pela reportagem, empresas de fachada em nome de familiares e prepostos da deputada teriam recebido ao menos R$ 11 milhões.

Suspeita de articulação política

Ainda segundo o documento, a parlamentar teria exercido o papel de articuladora política da fraude, utilizando sua influência pessoal junto ao alto escalão do INSS para viabilizar e proteger os ACTs (Acordos de Cooperação Técnica) com as associações fraudulentas.

Procurado, o advogado de Gorete, Waldir Xavier, disse que ela ainda não foi oficialmente cientificada de qualquer indiciamento e, por essa razão, não tem como se manifestar sobre a sua natureza delitiva.

Também disse que tem confiança na apuração dos fatos, sob a supervisão do ministro André Mendonça, do STF (Supremo Tribunal Federal), e “certeza de que a conduta por ela adotada foi pautada na licitude de seus atos”.

A PF afirma que a deputada tratava o então presidente do INSS Alessandro Stefanutto como amigo e, segundo análise de material apreendido pela polícia, foi chamada por ele de irmã. Ela também manteria contatos sistemáticos com outros funcionários do INSS.

Campanha eleitoral e tornozeleira eletrônica

A parlamentar é suplente de Yuri do Paredão (MDB-CE), que está licenciado. Até janeiro deste ano, ela era filiada ao PL. Gorete tentou se eleger deputada federal nestas eleições, mesmo com medidas restritivas impostas por Mendonça, que incluíam o uso de tornozeleira eletrônica.

Em seu perfil no Instagram, é possível vê-la participando de atos de campanha em Fortaleza usando calças compridas. A defesa da deputada chegou a pedir a Mendonça que fosse dispensado o uso de tornozeleira na campanha, mas o ministro negou.

No entanto, ele permitiu que ela atuasse fora da área da comarca fixada na decisão e a liberou para circular pelo estado. Ela recebeu 3.615 votos e não se elegeu, ficando como suplente.

De acordo com dados do DivulgaCand, plataforma da Justiça Eleitoral, Gorete recebeu R$ 670 mil para utilizar em sua campanha e gastou R$ 669,2 mil. Seu perfil na rede social ainda mostra que ela recebeu o apoio do presidente estadual do partido, o deputado federal Eunício Oliveira (MDB), em sua candidatura.

Tanto a PF quanto o Ministério Público Federal chegaram a pedir que Gorete fosse presa, mas Mendonça negou a medida em março, determinando que ela fosse monitorada por tornozeleira eletrônica, com limitação de deslocamento.

Advogada é suspeita de operacionalizar propina

A polícia também indiciou sob suspeita dos mesmos crimes, além de falsidade ideológica, a advogada Cecília Rodrigues Mota, que presidiu a Associação dos Aposentados e Pensionistas Nacional (Aapen) e a Associação dos Aposentados e Pensionistas do Brasil (AAPB). A reportagem não localizou a defesa de Cecília.

Segundo o relatório, Cecília atuou nas entidades no período em que se iniciaram as filiações fraudulentas e os descontos associativos não autorizados sobre benefícios previdenciários. As associações teriam conseguido um novo ACT por meio do pagamento de vantagens indevidas a servidores do INSS.

Ainda de acordo com o documento, Cecília operacionalizava a propina por meio da conta de sua sociedade de advocacia e de sua própria conta bancária.

Filho de ex-diretor do INSS teria recebido R$ 2,4 milhões

Um dos pagamentos teria sido feito ao escritório de Eric Fidelis, filho de André Paulo Félix Fidelis, ex-diretor de Benefícios do INSS. Ele teria recebido R$ 2,4 milhões em 2024. Eric foi indiciado sob suspeita dos crimes de organização criminosa e lavagem de dinheiro. Seu pai foi responsabilizado pelos menos crimes, além de corrupção passiva.

A polícia também apontou que André Fidelis assinou, somente em 2024, pelo menos sete ACTs que juntos promoveram descontos de R$ 142 milhões por associações investigadas.

Também procurada, a defesa de Eric e André informou que não teve acesso ao relatório e, por isso, não tinha condições de se posicionar. (Constança Rezende/FOLHAPRESS)

Policiais militares mataram Gustavo Munis de Santana, 20, com 27 tiros na madrugada deste sábado (10) em Moema, na zona sul de São Paulo.

Conforme o relato dos PMs no boletim de ocorrência, eles teriam confundido o aparelho celular que Gustavo segurava com uma arma.

O caso aconteceu por volta das 2h45, na alameda dos Guaramomis, e envolveu quatro viaturas da Polícia Militar. Dos 8 policiais que participaram da ação, 4 atiraram, totalizando 45 tiros: um deles fez 14 disparos; outro, 13; um terceiro, 6; e o último, 12.

O boletim afirma que a perícia identificou 27 ferimentos a bala em todo o corpo de Gustavo, incluindo na cabeça, no rosto e no tórax.

Imagens das câmeras corporais dos PMs analisadas pela Polícia Civil mostram a vítima surgindo de uma área escura, junto à fachada de um imóvel, e estendendo os braços apontando algo na direção da rua, onde estavam os policiais, ainda segundo o BO.

Os policiais disseram ainda, conforme registrado no boletim, que Gustavo estaria transtornado e ameaçando atirar contra si próprio. Quando a primeira viatura chegou, ele estaria com a mão na cintura, em postura ameaçadora, disseram os PMs.

Depois ele teria saído correndo e atravessado a passarela para a alameda dos Guaramomis, abrigando-se em uma área recuada de um imóvel, diz o boletim de ocorrência. Naquele momento, outras duas viaturas chegaram ao local.

Gustavo, então, teria saído do local em que estava e apontado um objeto escuro para os policiais, identificado depois como um telefone celular preto. O documento afirma que foi naquele momento que os policiais começaram a atirar.

Investigação

O caso foi registrado como resistência e homicídio decorrente de oposição à intervenção policial no DHPP (Departamento de Homicídios e de Proteção à Pessoa). Um inquérito policial militar será aberto para analisar a conduta dos PMs, e as quatro armas usadas na ação foram apreendidas para perícia.

Familiares disseram à polícia que Gustavo vivia com a mãe e as irmãs e tomava medicamento para depressão desde o ano passado.

Portugal enfrenta uma realidade económica que merece uma reflexão séria: apesar dos aumentos salariais anunciados ao longo dos últimos anos, muitas famílias continuam a sentir enormes dificuldades em fazer face às despesas mensais. Para milhares de trabalhadores, receber mais ao final do mês não significa necessariamente viver melhor.

O problema está na diferença entre aquilo que aparece no recibo de vencimento e aquilo que efetivamente sobra depois de pagar a renda da casa, a alimentação, a eletricidade, a água, os transportes, os seguros e os impostos. É nesta diferença que reside uma das maiores preocupações da sociedade portuguesa: a dificuldade crescente em transformar o trabalho numa verdadeira garantia de estabilidade financeira.

Não basta aumentar os salários se o custo de vida continuar a absorver os rendimentos das famílias

Os aumentos salariais são importantes e necessários. Contudo, não podem ser apresentados como uma solução isolada, nem utilizados como único indicador da melhoria das condições de vida dos portugueses.

Quando o salário aumenta, mas as despesas essenciais acompanham essa subida, o resultado pode ser uma melhoria praticamente impercetível no orçamento familiar.

A questão fundamental é simples: o que interessa não é apenas quanto ganha um trabalhador, mas aquilo que consegue fazer com o dinheiro que recebe.

O peso dos impostos sobre quem trabalha

Uma política económica centrada nas pessoas deve começar por reconhecer o valor do trabalho. Quem trabalha a tempo inteiro, cumpre os seus deveres e contribui para o funcionamento do país deve ter condições para viver com dignidade, constituir poupanças e preparar o futuro.

É por isso que o aumento dos salários deve ser acompanhado por uma redução responsável da carga fiscal sobre os rendimentos do trabalho, em particular nos escalões baixos e intermédios. Não faz sentido promover aumentos salariais sem avaliar quanto desse esforço chega efetivamente ao bolso dos trabalhadores.

O objetivo deve ser claro: permitir que os portugueses conservem uma parcela maior do rendimento que conquistam com o seu trabalho.

Esta redução fiscal deve ser acompanhada por uma gestão eficiente dos recursos públicos, pela avaliação da despesa do Estado e pelo combate ao desperdício. Aliviar os impostos não pode significar ignorar a sustentabilidade das contas públicas, mas também não pode continuar a ser tratado como uma questão secundária para quem vive com um orçamento limitado.

O trabalho deve compensar, e o esforço de quem produz riqueza tem de se traduzir numa melhoria concreta das condições de vida.

A habitação tornou-se um dos maiores obstáculos à estabilidade financeira

A crise da habitação é outro dos fatores que mais contribuem para a pressão sobre os rendimentos das famílias. Em diversas regiões do país, o valor das rendas e dos imóveis afastou-se da capacidade financeira de muitos trabalhadores, incluindo aqueles que têm emprego estável.

Para um jovem que pretende sair de casa dos pais, para um casal que deseja constituir família ou para um trabalhador que procura viver perto do seu local de trabalho, encontrar uma habitação a um preço comportável tornou-se um desafio cada vez maior.

Quando uma parte excessiva do salário é destinada à renda ou à prestação da casa, ficam comprometidas outras necessidades fundamentais. Poupar torna-se difícil, enfrentar uma despesa inesperada pode representar um problema grave e o recurso ao crédito pode transformar-se numa solução de recurso para despesas correntes.

Não podemos normalizar uma realidade em que trabalhar não chega para garantir o acesso a uma habitação digna. É necessário travar a escalada dos preços através de uma resposta estrutural: aumentar a oferta de habitação, simplificar e acelerar os processos de licenciamento, disponibilizar terrenos, recuperar imóveis devolutos e criar condições para construir a custos mais comportáveis.

Devem igualmente ser avaliadas medidas proporcionais que reduzam os comportamentos especulativos e promovam uma utilização mais eficiente do património habitacional, sem desincentivar a construção, o arrendamento ou o investimento necessário para aumentar a oferta.

A solução não passa por procurar culpados de forma indiscriminada, mas por corrigir os desequilíbrios que impedem o mercado de responder às necessidades reais da população.

Combater a inflação e recuperar o poder de compra

A inflação representa outro desafio, sobretudo quando incide sobre despesas das quais as famílias não podem prescindir. A alimentação, a energia e os transportes ocupam uma parcela significativa dos orçamentos familiares, pelo que qualquer aumento persistente nestes custos reduz a margem financeira disponível. É importante, contudo, distinguir a inflação geral da evolução dos preços da habitação. São fenómenos relacionados com o custo de vida, mas que exigem respostas diferentes.

No combate à inflação, o país deve promover a concorrência, a produtividade e o funcionamento eficiente dos mercados, avaliando medidas temporárias e devidamente fundamentadas quando os aumentos dos bens essenciais colocam em causa as condições de vida das famílias mais vulneráveis.

Na habitação, é necessário atuar sobre a oferta, os custos de construção, o licenciamento e os desequilíbrios entre os preços praticados e a capacidade financeira dos agregados familiares. Os aumentos salariais devem, por isso, ser avaliados em função da evolução do poder de compra real, e não apenas pelo número de euros acrescentados ao vencimento.

Uma economia que permita viver, e não apenas sobreviver

Portugal precisa de uma estratégia económica que articule três objetivos fundamentais: salários dignos, impostos mais baixos sobre o trabalho e habitação acessível.

Estas medidas devem ser acompanhadas pelo crescimento da produtividade, pela valorização das empresas que investem e criam emprego e por uma utilização criteriosa dos recursos públicos. Só assim será possível construir uma economia que concilie melhores rendimentos com estabilidade financeira e oportunidades reais para as novas gerações.

O crescimento económico não pode ser avaliado exclusivamente através de indicadores macroeconómicos. Esses indicadores são importantes, mas devem ser acompanhados por uma pergunta essencial: estão os portugueses a viver melhor?

Uma economia pode crescer e, ainda assim, deixar muitas famílias sem capacidade para poupar, adquirir habitação ou enfrentar imprevistos. É precisamente por isso que as políticas públicas devem ser avaliadas pelos seus resultados concretos na vida das pessoas.

Não se pretende defender aumentos salariais artificiais, desligados da produtividade, nem ignorar as dificuldades das empresas. Pretende-se exigir uma política económica equilibrada, em que o Estado, as empresas e os decisores públicos assumam as suas responsabilidades e em que o trabalhador não seja o elemento esquecido desta equação.

A dignidade de quem trabalha deve estar no centro das prioridades nacionais

O verdadeiro progresso não consiste em ganhar mais euros para pagar despesas cada vez maiores. Consiste em ganhar o suficiente para viver melhor, poupar, constituir família e construir um futuro com segurança e liberdade.

Portugal precisa de devolver aos seus cidadãos a confiança de que o trabalho continua a ser um caminho de mobilidade social e de realização pessoal. Aumentar salários é necessário. Reduzir a carga fiscal sobre o trabalho é essencial. Garantir habitação acessível é urgente.

Sem estas três dimensões, corremos o risco de continuar a anunciar melhorias económicas que uma parte significativa da população não consegue sentir na sua vida quotidiana.

Trabalhar para sobreviver não pode ser o destino de quem trabalha honestamente.
Trabalhar tem de voltar a ser um caminho para uma vida melhor.

Si l’Allemagne désirait interrompre les aéroports français, elle pourrait équiper ses Typhoon de missiles et créer une bulle de supériorité aérienne au-dessus du sol français. L’affirmation sonne-t-elle ridicule ? C’est exact, elle est pourtant l’exact miroir de l’alerte qu’El Mundo prête à la CIA selon laquelle les Russes pourraient équiper un navire de drones pour désactiver des aéroports occidentaux¹. Comprendre pourquoi l’une sonne comme folle alors que l’autre paraît terrifiante suppose de saisir les méthodes d’analyse sur lesquelles elles reposent, avant d’analyser justement les présupposés des intentions.

Celles-ci étant un peu complexes, commençons par la doctrine, qui aura le mérite de clarifier le brouillard mental actuel. Un peu comme le brouillard de guerre auquel les militaires sont confrontés. Deux méthodes offrent un moyen de le briser : la méthode des moyens et celle des intentions.

La première repose sur un inventaire des ressources connues de l’adversaire pour évaluer l’ensemble des points qu’il peut toucher. C’est aujourd’hui l’exercice de la CIA : les Russes disposent de drones, ceux-ci peuvent être basés sur un navire, donc les Russes peuvent équiper un navire. L’exercice en début d’article relève de la même logique : prendre le nombre de chasseurs de la Bundeswehr, le nombre de Taurus en stock, puisque contrairement à nos SCALP ces armes n’ont pas été envoyées en Ukraine, et établir que cette combinaison a la capacité de mener une attaque surprise au-dessus de la France.

Le problème de cette méthode est de livrer un arc de menace souvent inutilisable, car il existe trop d’axes de vulnérabilité pouvant être exploités. L’automne 1944 en offre l’illustration². Les Allemands retirent alors plusieurs divisions du front. La reconnaissance aérienne alliée photographie, à partir de la mi-novembre, un trafic ferroviaire intense autour de Cologne, de Coblence et dans l’Eifel : gares de triage saturées, locomotives sous pression, une vingtaine de wagons plats chargés de chars Tigre sur la ligne d’Euskirchen. Début décembre, cent soixante-dix wagons plats chargés de blindés et de véhicules roulent entre Cologne et Limbourg. La nuit, les chasseurs de nuit repèrent des convois aux phares masqués. Des dépôts de ravitaillement apparaissent à Rheinbach et à Schleiden, des piles de bois propres à jeter des ponts près d’Echternach, des trains sanitaires à l’ouest du Rhin. Les écoutes radio identifient une armée blindée nouvelle, la 6e Panzerarmee. À la mi-décembre, face aux Ardennes, le VIIIe corps américain signale une activité d’artillerie inhabituelle, aucun mouvement visible et presque plus de prisonniers. Cette force, dont la valeur combative était connue, pouvait être engagée de bien des manières.

Une seconde méthode doit alors entrer en jeu : celle des intentions. En fonction des moyens connus, on établit ce que l’ennemi voudra toucher. Plus précise, celle-ci possède l’inconvénient de reposer sur des déterminants bien moins solides, puisque liés à la compréhension de la psychologie de l’adversaire.

Ces indices remontent à tous les états-majors alliés, et chacun les interprète selon le tempérament de son chef. Au quartier général d’Eisenhower, commandant suprême des forces alliées, homme de coalition et de logistique, domine une conviction : les Allemands sont trop fatigués pour attaquer. Les divisions retirées sont donc évaluées comme des rotations de repos et une reconstitution de réserve. Le 15 décembre encore, son bureau des opérations n’a rien à signaler dans les Ardennes. Patton, chef de la Troisième Armée, passe pour le plus offensif des généraux américains : il ne conçoit la guerre qu’en mouvement et à l’attaque. Son état-major projette cette volonté offensive sur l’ennemi allemand. Elle reflète en réalité la psychologie des analystes, elle-même dérivée de la psychologie des chefs. Son chef du renseignement, le colonel Oscar Koch, lit les mêmes indices comme la préparation d’un coup et présente à Patton, le 9 décembre, sa conclusion : une contre-offensive allemande est possible dans les Ardennes. Patton fait aussitôt préparer les plans qui permettront à la Troisième Armée de pivoter vers le nord. Le lendemain du rapport rassurant d’Eisenhower, l’offensive allemande éclate. Autrement dit, la méthode des intentions en dit souvent plus sur la manière de penser des analystes que sur leur compréhension fine de l’adversaire. Bien conscients de ces défauts, les militaires appliquent les méthodes classiques d’analyse stratégique pour filtrer l’ensemble. La première d’entre elles est le rapport coût-avantage : qu’est-ce que l’adversaire a à gagner ? Pour quel coût ?

Ici, vous constatez par exemple la différence de pensée entre Eisenhower et Patton. Pour le premier, le coût est en carburant ; le second pense en termes d’avantage moral de l’offensive. D’où la divergence d’analyse. Si nous prenons notre exemple d’avions allemands équipés de Taurus, le coût est une guerre franco-allemande, voire OTAN-Allemagne si l’article 5 venait à jouer. Aucune attaque, même couronnée de succès, ne pourrait provoquer des dégâts suffisants pour compenser les coûts d’un conflit avec une puissance nucléaire. En pratique, l’Allemagne aurait beaucoup à perdre et peu à gagner, puisque son influence dans l’appareil d’État et l’UE lui permet d’obtenir satisfaction dans des domaines cruciaux, telle la fermeture de Fessenheim.

Alors, la Russie ?

La CIA vient de nous gratifier d’un de ces mémos qui relèvent à la fois de la plus pure vérité et du plus pur mépris du public destiné à recevoir la fuite. Voici la menace : «Le point faible de l’Europe» : la menace d’une attaque russe contre la France et l’Espagne est réelle, selon la CIA.

Le scénario de l’attaque impliquerait des drones Gerbera³, de petits appareils à la charge explosive réduite dont l’intérêt est perturbateur et non de faire des victimes : fermer un aéroport, par exemple. Ils seraient lancés depuis des navires marchands déguisés en trafic commercial ordinaire et postés en Méditerranée.

Je vous avouerai qu’en ouvrant ce mémo, je m’étais attendu à un scénario sérieux, pas à cela. À la découverte du propos, son outrance m’a fait passer à la limite de l’insulte. Voilà une proposition d’attaque étatique dont le but serait de «perturber» ? Se rend-on compte du terme ? Une attaque pour perturber ? Schlieffen se retourne dans sa tombe, Napoléon s’étrangle avec sa bataille décisive, Manstein est fort heureusement mort. Car, hélas, un État ne gaspille pas la surprise en lançant un tapotage gentil. S’il faut recourir à la violence, alors il faut d’emblée prendre un avantage définitif pour maintenir au plus court la durée de la campagne. Sun Tzu le notait déjà : aucun pays n’a jamais tiré profit d’une guerre prolongée.

Le projet proposé contredit tous ces principes et, dès lors, il ne pose qu’une seule question : le code militaire russe a-t-il supprimé la peine de mort pour les traîtres ? Eh oui, désolé de décevoir ces intervenants de plateaux qui se prétendent experts malgré leurs abus propagandistes, mais ce que la CIA nous propose est de lancer une attaque inefficace pour ruiner la réputation que les Russes ont acquise auprès du reste du monde. Nous parlons bien sûr des pays sérieux, hors de l’Occident malade où les journalistes reprennent ce scénario comme un sujet sérieux.

En clair, une balance coût-bénéfice où il n’y aurait que des coûts pour la Russie et aucun bénéfice. Eh oui, car fermer un aéroport fait peut-être perdre quelques millions à des entreprises, mais cela n’a AUCUN impact stratégique. Pire, il est inutile de mobiliser un drone Gerbera, un navire ou tout autre moyen militaire : un coup de fil d’un gamin pour annoncer une bombe suffit. Ou bien une voiture piégée.

Bref, l’aventure proposée n’apporte aucun bénéfice stratégique et se fait avec des moyens disproportionnés qui coûteraient énormément à la Russie. Seul un traître à la Russie peut avoir cette idée. Je sais, en Occident, nous sommes habitués avec les relais US, mais plus en Russie : les réseaux qui ont soutenu V. Poutine après son arrivée au pouvoir s’en sont assurés. Ou en tout cas, ils ont fait monter le prix de la passe. Un officier russe réclamerait une méga-malle de billets pour seulement proposer cela à ses chefs, vu qu’il sait que ce serait (si ses chefs sont gentils) la fin de sa carrière. Quant à le mettre en œuvre sans validation politique, il aurait intérêt à avoir le bon billet d’avion pour s’éclipser au plus vite.

Car là est le point qui permet aux individus tarés que l’Occident nomme journalistes de procéder à cette propagande goebbelsienne (enfin, je m’excuse auprès du docteur Goebbels pour cet amalgame insultant) : les moyens existent. Exact, la Russie possède les drones, les navires. Elle aligne même un porte-avions et surtout un arsenal de missiles de toute première qualité. Depuis les années cinquante, l’URSS dispose de bombardiers stratégiques et de missiles capables de frapper le territoire français. La menace n’a donc rien de nouveau, puisque la Russie peut transformer la France en parking si elle le désire.

L’alerte de la CIA ajoute-t-elle de nouvelles capacités ? La réponse est non, une fois, deux fois, mille fois NON !

Héritière, État successeur de l’URSS, la Russie dispose depuis sa naissance des moyens de nous mettre à terre si elle accepte les millions de morts qu’exigera l’absorption de la salve nucléaire française. Une poignée de drones n’y ajoute rien, n’y retranche rien. D’autant plus que la Russie dispose de missiles hypersoniques Orechnik en mesure d’infliger de douloureux dégâts à notre territoire. Par exemple, mais je ne voudrais pas exciter LCI, par une frappe d’Orechnik contre des centrales nucléaires ou, en non nucléaire, contre nos barrages. Nous n’aurions aucun moyen de riposte non nucléaire.

Dès lors, oui, les Russes peuvent monter des drones sur un navire, ils peuvent monter des Grad aussi, ou toute autre arme à plus ou moins grande portée. Dans un tel scénario, l’élément coûteux est le navire sacrifié, pas les munitions embarquées. L’alerte donnée, qui n’est que l’une des alertes autour desquelles on nous a fait résonner tambours et trompettes, n’apporte rien de structurellement nouveau. Un bricolage de drones pour frapper notre territoire n’a rien de complexe. Après tout, le gouvernement de Kiev a bien réussi à introduire des drones sur le territoire russe pour frapper des bombardiers stratégiques.

Seulement, à ce jeu, tout le monde peut jouer ou presque. Il faut le restreindre : l’équipe Le Maire, Breton ne peut pas jouer, mais c’est lié à l’incompétence des joueurs. La France, par exemple, possède encore quelques officiers de valeur capables d’organiser l’affaire. (Non, pas le colonel monté hors de propos en lui accrochant des étoiles comme des guirlandes de Noël, et qui fait aujourd’hui comme s’il dirigeait l’armée française.)

Le problème est que ces gens refuseraient de monter une telle opération. Frapper la Russie, comme frapper la France pour la Russie, exige que la première balle soit mortelle. On tire au cœur ou on ne tire pas, et dans ce cas, entre puissances nucléaires, la question n’est pas celle des moyens, mais celle de la volonté. Même si nous avons TOUT fait, par une politique irresponsable, pour irriter les Russes, ils n’ont nullement annoncé leur intention de répondre à la hauteur de notre bêtise.

Reste l’intention : les Russes peuvent nous frapper, c’est acquis, ils peuvent le faire depuis des décennies pour un coût fixé. Resterait le gain d’une frappe : faire cesser l’appui français à l’Ukraine. Dans ce domaine, hélas, hormis l’agacement entre les oreilles d’entendre les rodomontades et pseudo-discours d’Emmanuel Macron, qui justifient toute envie de retourner une paire de claques justement méritée, la vérité commande de constater l’épuisement de nos moyens : la macronie a déjà envoyé à peu près tout ce qu’elle pouvait racler dans les fonds de tiroirs ; quant à l’argent, l’Allemagne ou la Grande-Bretagne peuvent le fournir. Les véritables acteurs sont les Anglais, par l’usage des moyens de leurs services secrets très actifs dans la guerre des drones, et les Allemands pour la livraison de munitions. Pour peser sur les opérations en Ukraine, une frappe russe devrait cibler en priorité ces deux pays.

Sauf à vouloir faire de l’éducation prioritaire, mais dans ce cas, l’ambassade de Russie peut se contenter d’engager un professeur de SEGPA pour l’envoyer à l’Élysée. Pour la fessée, il serait même inutile d’engager : Montjoie Saint-Denis a fait des petits.

Prise sous un angle militaire, l’information n’apportait rien, et si les journalistes en avaient fait une lecture correcte, ils l’auraient classée verticalement.

Ce n’était bien évidemment pas le but, mais au contraire d’avoir un thème pour parler de menace russe afin de poursuivre la propagande par martèlement, qui vise à abrutir les téléspectateurs de menaces pour leur faire admettre le concept sans esprit critique. Ça marche avec les résidents de maison de retraite au stade pré-Rivotril.

Tel est le problème de nos gouvernants. Faute d’agression russe, il faut créer le sentiment d’une agression, ce qui est le but de ces annonces : entretenir l’hystérie et donner un prétexte pour prononcer les mots agression, guerre, menaces, puissants générateurs d’un sentiment d’insécurité dans la population soumise à ce discours anxiogène.

Ça n’a qu’un défaut : messieurs les journalistes, vous avez repris en connaissance de cause une publication des services américains pour engager notre pays sur une trajectoire fausse et dangereuse pour sa sécurité.

Soit vous êtes des idiots congénitaux, ce que la CIA n’exclut peut-être pas, et je vais m’offrir de partager le soupçon. Soit vous le faites délibérément. Même en tenant compte de votre bêtise, tous les journalistes français ne peuvent pas être aussi désavantagés par la nature ; il aurait donc dû en rester assez pour faire échouer la manipulation.

Cela fait de vous, en tant que catégorie, des traîtres à votre nation, susceptibles de subir les foudres judiciaires au moment où le pouvoir changera de main et cessera de couvrir vos abus. Il ne s’agit pas de menaces, mais d’une évaluation juridique. VOUS mettez objectivement notre nation en danger !

La méthode marcherait si, justement, conscients de la menace sur leur esprit, beaucoup de citoyens ne s’étaient pas dirigés vers internet.

Sete políticos autodenominados “mulheres trans” foram eleitos para cargos legislativos nas eleições gerais ocorridas no último domingo (04) no Brasil.

Erika Hilton (PSOL) e Duda Salabert (PSOL) foram reeleitas, enquanto Thabatta Pimenta (PSOL) estreará na Câmara Federal. Por sua vez, nos estados foram reeleitas Linda Brasil (PSOL) em Sergipe e Dani Balbi (PCdoB) no Rio de Janeiro, enquanto Sofia Favero (PSOL) foi eleita pela primeira vez para a Assembleia Legislativa de São Paulo e Natasha Ferreira (PT) também estreará na Assembleia Legislativa do Rio Grande do Sul.

A principal pauta dessas candidaturas é o transativismo. É a típica política identitária: defender seus próprios interesses, interesses de um setor minúsculo da classe média, contra os interesses da maioria dos explorados e oprimidos. Os transativistas vêm se destacando no Brasil por sua oposição aos direitos básicos das mulheres e pela utilização do aparato repressivo do Estado (Judiciário e polícia) para perseguir os cidadãos comuns, geralmente trabalhadores humildes, tachados de “transfóbicos”.

Tal empreitada não é feita através de um trabalho de conscientização política, nem muito menos é fruto de esforços dos oprimidos que, organizados de forma independente, conseguem criar um movimento social contra os interesses dos poderosos. Não. É um movimento integralmente artificial e financiado pelos mais poderosos entre os poderosos.

As Open Society Foundations, do especulador financeiro multibilionário George Soros, admitem abertamentem há dez anos que “há muito tempo apoiam organizações trans e intersexo em todo o mundo”. Ainda em 2013, as OSF apresentavam seu ponto de vista sobre a transexualidade: “a identidade de gênero é o sentido interno de uma pessoa de ser um homem, uma mulher ou outro gênero.”

As OSF são a ponta de um guarda-chuva, pelo qual repassam fundos para organizações captadoras de forma hierárquica. Assim, a organização mãe originada da iniciativa de George Soros ainda na década de 1980 para derrubar a União Soviética e seus aliados consegue levar financiamento a um número incontável de ONGs.

No Brasil, a Associação Nacional de Travestis e Transexuais (ANTRA) recebe financiamento indireto das OSF. Estas repassaram 25,8 milhões de reais ao Fundo Brasil de Direitos Humanos entre 2016 e 2024. O Fundo Brasil, por sua vez, aportou 400 mil reais à ANTRA em 2024.

Além disso, Bruna Benevides, presidente da ANTRA, é integrante do conselho deliberativo da Conectas Direitos Humanos, ONG que é a maior receptora de fundos das OSF (34 milhões de reais até 2024).

Em relatório com mapeamento e lista de candidaturas para as eleições deste ano, a ANTRA assegura ter um “compromisso inegociável de eleger pessoas trans”. No total, foram 116 candidaturas registradas como “trans” pelo Brasil.

Após o resultado eleitoral, a organização comemorou a eleição das sete “mulheres trans” para cargos legislativos: “estávamos ansiosas por este resultado! Ampliamos nossas presenças com votações extremamente expressivas e demos uma bela resposta à transfobia!”

Quem também celebrou o resultado foi a Associação Brasileira de Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis, Transexuais e Intersexos (ABGLT): “as pessoas LGBTQIA+ ampliaram sua participação política e demonstraram, nas urnas, a força que construímos”, destacando a eleição de “mulheres trans” para a Câmara Federal. A publicação foi feita nas redes sociais, em parceria com a ANTRA e Bruna Benevides.

A ABGLT é afiliada ao Washington Brazil Office, entidade de lobby sediada na capital dos Estados Unidos e que recebeu 300 mil dólares de financiamento das Open Society Foundations em 2023. Ela também é parceira institucional da Associação Brasileira de Organizações Não Governamentais (Abong), que recebeu R$ 4,3 milhões de financiamento das OSF entre 2016 e 2024.

A Abong também recebeu, no ano passado, R$ 1,5 milhão em recursos de emendas parlamentares de Erika Hilton, que é presidente da Frente Parlamentar Mista por Cidadania e Direitos LGBTI+ do Congresso Nacional. Esse montante era destinado a ações de “empoderamento e capacitação da comunidade LGBTQIA+”, “fortalecimento das paradas LGBTQIA+” e “advocacy e colaboração com a Frente Parlamentar LGBT+” da própria Hilton.

Hilton tem relações mais profundas com o guarda-chuva de George Soros. Um documentário biográfico de Hilton recebeu financiamento do William Greaves Research & Development Fund. Dirigido por Chica Andrade, que é um dos organizadores da Associação de Profissionais Audiovisuais Trans, o filme aparentemente ainda não foi concluído, ou ao menos ainda não foi lançado – embora a previsão de lançamento fosse para o início deste ano. O Fundo William Greaves contemplou o documentário em seu programa de financiamento de 2023-2024 com 25 mil dólares. O Fundo pertence à Firelight Media, uma organização sem fins lucrativos sediada em Nova Iorque que tem entre seus apoiadores as Open Society Foundations.

Hilton também é profundamente relacionada com a ANTRA e com Bruna Benevides. Em 2024, a deputada indicou Benevides para receber a Medalha do Mérito Legislativo da Câmara Federal e deu apoio institucional ao Guia para Migrantes Trans nos EUA, elaborado pela ANTRA. Em 2025, a associação enviou à deputada uma proposta legislativa para alterar o Código Penal e aumentar as penas por crimes cometidos contra “mulheres trans”. Em setembro deste ano, a ANTRA apresentou uma representação à Procuradoria-Geral Eleitoral pedindo apuração de “possíveis episódios de violência política de gênero” contra Hilton – Benevides foi quem apresentou publicamente a posição da entidade.

Duda Salabert também deu apoio institucional ao guia da ANTRA. Thabatta Pimenta participou, ao lado de Benevides, do XX Seminário LGBTQIA+ do Congresso Nacional em 2023, bem como do EleiTrans, encontro de transexuais famosos que se apresentam como lideranças que foi promovido pelo Projeto Pajubá e que contou com a colaboração da ANTRA, ABGLT e Abong.

Linda Brasil, por sua vez, participou de atividades institucionais da ANTRA. Em janeiro de 2025, por exemplo, esteve na cerimônia do acordo entre o Ministério das Mulheres e a ANTRA, ao lado de Benevides. A deputada estadual do PSOL foi uma das principais figuras políticas transexuais a participar da “Marsha Trans Brasil” deste ano, organizada pela ANTRA e pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Transmasculinidades (Ibrat).

Dani Balbi esteve junto com Linda na manifestação. Em 2023, Balbi apresentou na Assembleia Legislativa do Rio de Janeiro um projeto concedendo a Benevides o Prêmio Cidadania, Direito e Respeito à Diversidade

Natasha Ferreira também participou do EleiTrans e da “Marsha Trans Brasil”.

O MPF (Ministério Público Federal) no Amazonas identificou 11 terras indígenas, reservas extrativistas e reservas de desenvolvimento sustentável, localizadas em oito municípios, onde alunos de ensino médio foram aprovados e passaram de ano mesmo sem a oferta regular de aulas.

Faltam professores, escolas, merenda, transporte e estrutura básica para a oferta das disciplinas a indígenas e ribeirinhos que querem cursar o ensino médio sem necessidade de deslocamento às cidades, em regiões amazônicas marcadas por longas distâncias e isolamento em relação a núcleos urbanos.

Após dezenas de reuniões com integrantes de comunidades tradicionais, a Procuradoria da República no Amazonas fez um mapeamento dos casos em que alunos ficam sem aulas e, mesmo assim, conseguem aprovação no sistema de registro escolar mantido pela Secretaria de Educação do Governo do Amazonas.

A Procuradoria diz suspeitar que crimes são cometidos para efetivar essas aprovações, com uso de documentos falsos por integrantes da pasta.

MPF propõe acordo com o governo estadual

O MPF tenta fazer um TAC (termo de ajustamento de conduta) com a Secretaria de Educação do Amazonas e estabeleceu o próximo dia 13 como prazo para o aceite do governo.

No termo, são estabelecidas medidas emergenciais, como contratação de professores indígenas por meio de processos simplificados e levantamento das necessidades de transporte, infraestrutura escolar e material didático.

Se o acordo não for firmado, a Procuradoria pretende ingressar com ações judiciais na esfera cível. O MPF deve investigar as suspeitas de uso de documentos falsos na aprovação de alunos que passaram anos sem aulas.

A reportagem questionou o Governo do Amazonas sobre os apontamentos do MPF, em email enviado na tarde da última terça-feira (6), mas não obteve resposta.

Problema foi denunciado em 2025

A Folha de S. Paulo noticiou, em junho de 2025, a aprovação de alunos indígenas no ensino médio sem que o estado ofertasse aulas de disciplinas básicas. A reportagem detalhou os casos da Terra Indígena Tenharim do Igarapé Preto, no sul do Amazonas, e do Vale do Javari, a segunda maior do país, na região de fronteira entre Brasil, Colômbia e Peru.

Desde então, o procurador Fernando Merloto Soave fez dezenas de reuniões com comunidades tradicionais em diferentes partes do estado, onde existem mais de mil salas de aula indígenas.

A partir desses encontros, a Procuradoria sistematizou um levantamento sobre as precariedades na oferta do ensino básico, especialmente no ensino médio, em que são frequentes aprovações de um ano pedagógico a outro mesmo sem a oferta de aulas.

A percepção da Procuradoria da República é que o problema se repete em todo o estado, o que é difícil mapear em razão da capilaridade e das distâncias das comunidades tradicionais espalhadas nas calhas dos rios.

Falta de professores e estrutura escolar

Em reservas extrativistas de Boca do Acre, no sul do Amazonas, ribeirinhos que cursam o ensino médio são aprovados sem a oferta de aulas porque faltam professores, conforme o levantamento.

Em Coari, no centro do estado, alunos de uma reserva extrativista estão matriculados, mas faltam equipamentos para a efetivação das aulas.

Indígenas de Fonte Boa, cidade que fica no médio rio Solimões, “apenas respondem provas quando o professor manda e vão passando de ano normalmente”, registra o levantamento feito pelo MPF.

Em uma aldeia de terra indígena próxima a Humaitá, no sul do Amazonas, o transporte escolar não conta com embarcação própria e depende de empréstimos das comunidades. Há alunos que fazem trajetos de dois quilômetros por terra, a pé, para alcançar a sala de aula.

Em uma reserva extrativista na região de Japurá, no oeste do estado, faltam professores e merendeiros, e alunos de ensino médio precisam se deslocar à noite pelo rio, num trecho de duas horas, para chegar a uma sala de aula.

Já em reservas de desenvolvimento sustentável de Novo Aripuanã, no sudeste do Amazonas, pilotos de barcos fazem o transporte escolar sem contratos formais, e a merenda chegou a ficar suspensa por quatro meses consecutivos. Professores do ensino médio tecnológico dão dez dias de aulas por mês; outros não comparecem o ano inteiro, de acordo com relatório da Procuradoria da República.

Yanomamis enfrentam precariedades na educação

Os yanomamis também enfrentam precariedades no ensino básico em aldeias da parte do território que fica no Amazonas a terra yanomami, a maior do Brasil, ocupa uma extensa área de floresta no Amazonas e em Roraima.

Um relatório elaborado em setembro pela Associação Parawami Yanomami, e enviado ao MPF, descreve problemas como falta de escolas, de professores e de material didático, alunos estudando no chão, salas de aula improvisadas pelas comunidades e merenda escolar composta por alimentos ultraprocessados. São frequentes relatos de diarreia entre os alunos.

Among the many areas of American life democratized by the internet, few have been more transformed than political commentary. Instead of being restricted to an old boys’ club of op-ed writers and Sunday-talk-show guests, punditry is now open to anyone with an internet connection. This shift has created abundant opportunities for once-neglected voices and broadened public discourse beyond a narrow establishment-media consensus. But lowering the barrier to entry has also had its downsides, mainly in the rise of political influencers. Like talk-radio hosts of yore, charismatic social-media commentators are skilled at forming a personal relationship with their listeners. Many of the most successful, however, pay next to zero attention to the details of policy or governance and gain followers mostly by calling the other side names. Consider the case of Jennifer Welch, author of the new book Not Today, Fascists.

A co-host of the left-wing podcast I’ve Had It, Welch commands millions of followers across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms. Multiple times a week, she delights her legions of fans by mocking Donald Trump, whom she calls “America’s dumbass dictator,” and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, whom she derides as “Chuckles,” for his insufficiently ardent resistance to the “fascist” GOP. She has called Erika Kirk, the widow of the murdered conservative activist Charlie Kirk, an “absolute grifter,” and the MAGA movement an “anti-family, pro-pedophilia death cult.” Her response to Lindsey Graham’s death was to say, “He liked cock, as we all know.” (No, we don’t. No evidence that the bachelor senator was gay has ever surfaced.)

To people who do not already share her politics, Welch’s coarseness can be off-putting. But it clearly has a cathartic appeal for many disillusioned liberals. Ironically, a major component of Welch’s appeal is inspired by the man she so despises. “I disagree with everything he says, I think he’s a compulsive liar, et cetera,” Welch told National Public Radio last year, “but the way we talk is really the way Trump has been doing it the last 10 years.”

As a rule, when a book of political commentary has a big picture of the author on the front cover, readers should expect little substance and a lot of righteous certainty. Not Today, Fascists is no exception. But Welch’s rise as a progressive influencer, the growing popularity of her rhetorical style, and the leftward pressure she and her followers are putting on the Democratic Party exemplify a larger current: The American left has decided to mimic the right by cocooning itself in its own echo chamber.

“The Democratic base has abandoned traditional media,” Welch writes, “just like the Republican base did ten years ago, and they are desperate for something that goes against the status quo.” This “hunger for something different” among progressives, she observes, has been “so immense that a 51-year-old interior designer and her divorce lawyer started a podcast in Oklahoma a little over three years ago, and it’s now one of the top left-leaning podcasts in the country.”

During Trump’s first term, Welch, a successful interior decorator, starred in the Bravo reality-television series Sweet Home Oklahoma. Inspired by the voyeurism of the Real Housewives franchise, the show followed the exploits of Welch and her wealthy friends through the physical and mental landscape of Nichols Hills, her fashionable Oklahoma City neighborhood. Typical plotlines involved Welch’s design business, her husband’s recovery from drug addiction, and a character going on her first blind date in many years. After two seasons, the show was canceled in 2018.

Four years later, Welch started I’ve Had It with one of her former co-stars, Angie Sullivan, as a sidekick. According to The New York Times, the podcast initially consisted of “banter about petty grievances.” Gradually, the grievances became political and “grew to world-historical proportions.” Today, I’ve Had It is a go-to stop for Democratic presidential aspirants and other stars of the progressive firmament. Welch has appeared on The View, The New Yorker Radio Hour (interviewed by the magazine’s editor, David Remnick), and the livestream of fellow leftist shock-jock Hasan Piker, who refers to her as “one of the leaders of the radical wine-mom brigade.” Today, the Times reports, Welch “releases a podcast episode approximately once every seven hours.”

Welch has become the quintessential #resistance influencer—someone animated by righteous indignation over Donald Trump’s misogyny and other character defects. She is Howard Beale crossed with Martha Stewart. Reading her is like being subjected to MS NOW on full volume, but with F-bombs. Indeed, the progressive cable-news network, formerly known as MSNBC, isn’t left-wing enough for Welch, who writes that “I’ve moved left and weaned myself off corporate news in recent years.”

To the extent that Not Today, Fascists has a thesis, it’s that Republicans are an assemblage of fascists, pedophiles, and idiots—and that progressives must sink to their level in order to win. “The only way forward is to fight fair,” Welch writes, “which in this case means dirty as hell.”  What Democrats need is a “fuck you politics,” she believes. Practically, this means using meaner, cruder language. “If any chickenshit pearl-clutchers gets their panties in a wad because we call Trump a fascist or a Nazi, step aside and let the grown-ups fight,” Welch writes. “Fuck the seniority system. Fuck compromise.”

Never in Not Today, Fascists does Welch express the slightest scintilla of a doubt about anything she believes. She cannot contemplate the possibility that others might disagree with her in good faith, without racist, venal, or otherwise malign motives. Like many partisans before her, she implies that voters’ failure to adopt her side’s preferred policies is because the other side has brainwashed them. “We have an uphill battle when it comes to the economy—not because the Democrats’ policies are weaker, but because the propaganda has been so successful,” she writes.

The argument that Republican voters foolishly vote against their own economic interests was most famously elucidated in Thomas Frank’s 2004 book, What’s the Matter With Kansas, the thesis of which is that the GOP wages the culture war to distract working-class white voters from its plundering of the economy. “Democratic politicians and candidates should be on TV every single day, beating the drum against corporate America’s exploitations, its billionaire CEOs, and the system that has enabled them to steal from America—and they should do so using clear, aggressive language,” Welch writes, as if such points haven’t been a staple of Democratic rhetoric for decades.

As an example of Democratic fecklessness, Welch points to the failure of the Biden administration to have Trump convicted for his role in the January 6 insurrection. She ridicules former Attorney General Merrick Garland for proceeding “as though he’d overdone it on the Xanax.” That Garland might have been at least partly justified in wanting to avoid the appearance of partisanship, a caution he demonstrated by first bringing cases against hundreds of rioters, is lost on Welch. The Biden administration’s attorney general “should have been vetted to make sure he or she understood the assignment,” which, apparently, was not conducting a fair and thorough investigation, but prosecuting Trump and his allies.

This disregard for due process—for the idea that Garland’s long service in the American judicial system might have informed his prosecutorial restraint—is especially startling for someone flinging accusations of “fascism” onto anyone and anything she doesn’t like. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is “no different, in my eyes, from Hitler’s Gestapo,” she writes. A message from the State Department announcing a pause in the issuance of immigrant visas to citizens of 75 countries “isn’t language reminiscent of fascism—it’s obviously and explicitly fascist.”

Not Today, Fascists is a sloppy book. It’s riddled with malapropisms (Adolf Hitler sought to “coalesce momentum for World War II”), clichés (“it takes a village”), mixed metaphors (the establishment’s supposed belief that the rich are “the smartest people on God’s green Earth,” when in reality “they are not, uniformly, the brightest of bulbs”), and non sequiturs (“Note that to the MAGA cult, gay sex includes simply existing as a trans person.”) “Books are not known for coming together quickly,” Welch writes. This one certainly seems like it did.

But the bigger problem with the book is her uncritical recitation of left-wing talking points. Welch employs one of the most tiresome progressive rhetorical tics, referring frequently to the Trump administration as “the regime.” She calls the extensively documented scandal involving Somali immigrants running fake day-care centers in Minnesota “an utterly fraudulent accusation.” Welch repeats a laundry list of progressive shibboleths from the past decade: that Trump referred to the Nazis and white supremacists at Charlottesville as “very fine people,” that Trump labeled immigrants generally—not just participants in criminal activity—as “animals.”  

She brings no more reflection or nuance to her discussion of the war in Gaza. “I will not go to great lengths to argue that a genocide is in place, because the reality is clear,” she writes. (In other words, she barely bothers to justify the grave claim she makes.) Welch admits that she “didn’t know much about” the Israeli-Palestinian conflict until well into the current war. She begins the first of her two chapters about the conflict, entitled “Taxpayer-Funded Genocide,” with a memory of her visit to Dachau at the age of 16. The message seems to be that Jews have forgotten what the Nazis did to them and are callously inflicting the same horrors upon Palestinians.

Welch claims that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “has made Jewish people less safe worldwide,” and favorably cites a writer who claims that Israel is “the world’s most powerful cause of antisemitism.” The implication that Jews everywhere are a natural target for opponents of Israeli policy rationalizes bigotry and absolves the actual anti-Semites of their crimes. At one point in Not Today, Fascists, Welch begins to rant about the evils of “Zionist American billionaires” and the “growing Zionist cooperation and Zionist power in the American government.” A commentator more steeped in the history of real-life fascism might be warier of tropes about Jews manipulating the levers of power.

Welch’s political consciousness was heavily shaped by her experience growing up in a proudly atheist household surrounded by conservative evangelical Christians. (Not Today, Fascists is dedicated “To all the blue dots in red states: You’re not crazy—they are.”) Her feelings about the American religious right—which overwhelmingly supports Israel—and her domestic political commitments more broadly seem to color her feelings about the Jewish state. “One striking fact” about the Trump era, she writes, is that “Netanyahu was delighted by Trump. I found it repulsive that he went to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring.” One can find Netanyahu’s obsequiousness toward Trump unseemly while simultaneously accepting that foreign leaders, just to do their job, must constantly flatter the most powerful man in the world. One can also abhor the actions of the Israeli government without writing off the entire country as an illegitimate enterprise.

By their nature, “heterodox” voices are an acquired taste. In the part of the political universe Welch inhabits, the battle lines are clear: Protect your friends and villainize your opponents, regardless of the details. Discussing the murder of the health-care executive Brian Thompson, she writes that his death “illuminated a harsh reality about American life: The unconscionable cruelty of the American healthcare system has driven some people so far into desperation and despair that they couldn’t find any empathy for the CEO.” That may be true for a radical fringe, but 82 percent of Americans are satisfied with their health-care coverage. In a paean to Tim Walz, Welch describes the Minnesota governor and failed vice-presidential candidate as “the hard-ass you could go to for counsel, who stood up for the underdog like the great American film heroes we grew up watching.” There are many things one can say about Tim Walz; that he is the latter-day incarnation of Paul Newman or Harrison Ford is not one of them.

There is a place for the Jennifer Welches of the world, just as there is a place for the Tucker Carlsons and Hasan Pikers and Sean Hannitys. Unabashed partisanship helps motivate some people to win elections. What makes sharply partisan media figures so useful to political movements, however, is precisely what renders them so uninteresting as thinkers. In an earlier era of political commentary, William F. Buckley Jr. earned cachet with his friendships across the political aisle; part of what made him interesting was his interest in other people and their ideas. A typical episode of Firing Line—his current-affairs debate show, which aired on public television for 33 years—would feature Buckley in spirited, respectful conversation with a guest such as Huey Newton, Allen Ginsberg, or John Kenneth Galbraith. Welch and her listeners, by contrast, have no interest in anyone outside their ideological bubble, other than as targets of invective.

In encouraging her fellow progressives to follow MAGA into the gutter, Welch resembles that which she hates. At one point, she writes that “the feeling of being united against a common enemy, with total absolution from racism, sexism, or accountability, can be intoxicating.” But Welch and her followers too are in desperate need of an intervention.

Like her adversaries, Welch long ago gave up trying to convince those who don’t see things her way. “I don’t imagine a world where MAGA voters will wake up one morning and simply switch sides,” she writes. Democrats must therefore move left; on this, “there is no compromise” to be had. The Democratic Party is up for grabs, and Jennifer Welch may very well represent its future.

Santo Padre,

Le scriviamo da palestinesi, con rispetto per il Suo ministero e con fiducia nella Sua voce. La sera della Sua elezione Lei ha salutato il mondo con le parole del Risorto, «La pace sia con tutti voi», e ha parlato di una pace «disarmata e disarmante». Nella terra in cui quelle parole furono pronunciate per la prima volta, la pace manca da molto tempo. Il nostro popolo, musulmani e cristiani insieme, sta vivendo ciò che la Commissione d'inchiesta delle Nazioni Unite, le principali organizzazioni per i diritti umani e molti dei maggiori studiosi dell'Olocausto e del genocidio hanno chiamato genocidio. Sappiamo che Lei ha detto che la definizione è molto tecnica, e comprendiamo la prudenza che il Suo ufficio richiede. Per le famiglie di Gaza, di Betlemme e di Taybeh, però, non è una questione tecnica. La preghiamo di ascoltarle, di chiamare ciò che vivono con il suo nome e, soprattutto, di agire perché finisca.

Fra cinquant'anni la Basilica della Natività sarà quasi certamente ancora in piedi a Betlemme, e i pellegrini continueranno a chinarsi sotto la sua porta bassa per inginocchiarsi davanti alla grotta. Il Santo Sepolcro continuerà ad attirare folle lungo i suoi gradini consumati a Gerusalemme. Le pietre resteranno. Ma chi percorrerà la Via Dolorosa? Da secoli, il Venerdì Santo, i cristiani di questa terra seguono la croce lungo quelle strade insieme ai pellegrini di tutto il mondo. Oggi molti cristiani palestinesi di Betlemme e di Ramallah hanno bisogno di un permesso israeliano per entrare a Gerusalemme Est a Pasqua, e non sempre lo ottengono. Molto meno certo delle pietre è che, allora, nelle strade intorno a quei luoghi vivano ancora cristiani palestinesi in numero sufficiente da poter parlare di una comunità.

Il sindaco di Betlemme, Maher Canawati, Le ha raccontato di persona, nel settembre 2025, come l'emigrazione stesse svuotando Betlemme e le città vicine delle loro famiglie cristiane. In un solo anno più di mille cristiani palestinesi sono stati costretti a lasciare la loro terra. Li ha chiamati le «pietre vive» della Terra Santa e L'ha avvertita che senza di loro essa sarebbe diventata un museo. L'espressione viene dalla Prima lettera di Pietro: «quali pietre vive siete costruiti anche voi come edificio spirituale». Le pietre dei santuari non hanno bisogno di protezione. Quelle vive sì.

Il cardinale Pierbattista Pizzaballa, patriarca latino di Gerusalemme, ha detto a Roma all'inizio di quest'anno che la presenza cristiana in Terra Santa si è drasticamente ridotta da quando vi è arrivato nel 1990, e che dall'ottobre 2023 almeno cento famiglie hanno lasciato la sola Betlemme. Ne ha indicato anche le cause. I palestinesi, musulmani e cristiani, non possono lavorare, perdono le loro terre e subiscono aggressioni armate e atti vandalici, mentre le loro case vengono devastate, demolite o confiscate. Le demolizioni e le confische sono opera dello Stato e dell'esercito israeliani, le aggressioni dei coloni israeliani. Perfino le tredici scuole cattoliche di Gerusalemme devono lottare ogni giorno per i permessi degli insegnanti che arrivano da Betlemme. La Cisgiordania vive sotto un'occupazione che le principali organizzazioni per i diritti umani, anche israeliane, hanno definito un regime di apartheid: strade chiuse, permessi di lavoro annullati, un'economia al collasso, terre sottratte per gli insediamenti ebraici illegali, attacchi dei coloni condotti con il sostegno costante dell'esercito israeliano. Cristiani e musulmani sono discriminati e perseguitati allo stesso modo, e allo stesso modo vengono costretti a fuggire. Una migrazione forzata imposta a un intero popolo ha un nome: pulizia etnica.

A Gerusalemme Est la pressione passa anche dai documenti. Dal 1967 Israele ha revocato la residenza a migliaia di palestinesi della città. Inoltre, una legge del 2003, rinnovata più volte, impedisce di fatto il ricongiungimento familiare fra chi risiede a Gerusalemme Est o in Israele e un coniuge della Cisgiordania o di Gaza. Una ragazza cristiana di Gerusalemme Est che sposa un ragazzo di Betlemme, a dieci chilometri di distanza, si trova davanti a una scelta: vivere separata dal marito, trasferirsi con lui a Betlemme rischiando di perdere la residenza, cioè il diritto di vivere a Gerusalemme e perfino di tornarvi, oppure lasciare insieme la propria terra. Molte coppie sono costrette a scegliere l'ultima strada. Anche questa è emigrazione forzata, benché non venga mai chiamata così.

In Occidente si parla spesso dei cristiani palestinesi come di una fragile minoranza stretta fra ebrei e musulmani. Non è così che si vedono, e non è questa la loro storia. Sono parte inseparabile del popolo palestinese, per lingua, famiglie, villaggi e terre coltivate da generazioni. Prima del 1948 gli arabi palestinesi, musulmani e cristiani, erano il popolo indigeno di questa terra e la grande maggioranza della sua popolazione, e i cristiani ne erano circa un decimo. Oggi, in Cisgiordania e a Gaza, sono fra l'uno e il due per cento. Nel 1948 circa 750.000 palestinesi furono espulsi o costretti a fuggire, cristiani e musulmani insieme, e lo Stato nato quell'anno non ha mai permesso loro di tornare. Nel 2018 la legge sullo Stato-nazione ha riservato ai soli ebrei il diritto all'autodeterminazione nazionale nello Stato di Israele, sancendo per legge uno Stato esclusivamente ebraico.

La storia di Iqrit e di Kafr Bir'im lo mostra meglio di qualsiasi statistica. Erano due villaggi cristiani dell'Alta Galilea, uno melchita e uno maronita. Nel novembre 1948 l'esercito israeliano ordinò agli abitanti di andarsene, promettendo che sarebbero potuti rientrare dopo due settimane. Non sono mai tornati. Nel 1951 la Corte suprema israeliana riconobbe agli abitanti di Iqrit il diritto di rientrare, ma il giorno di Natale di quello stesso anno l'esercito fece saltare le case del villaggio. Kafr Bir'im fu distrutto due anni dopo. Le famiglie divennero profughe, nella propria terra o oltre il confine, in Libano. Da allora i loro discendenti tornano a Iqrit per pregare nella chiesa rimasta in piedi e per seppellire i loro morti nel cimitero del villaggio. A Eilabun, un altro villaggio cristiano della Galilea, nell'ottobre 1948 soldati israeliani uccisero una dozzina di uomini e ne espulsero gli abitanti. I cristiani palestinesi hanno vissuto la Nakba come tutto il loro popolo, e da Iqrit nel 1948 a Taybeh oggi il loro sradicamento dalla propria patria non si è mai fermato.

Papa Francesco conosceva questa realtà. Nel maggio 2014, durante il suo pellegrinaggio in Terra Santa, fece fermare l'auto a Betlemme e pregò in silenzio davanti al muro di separazione. Il giorno dopo, al Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center, il primo ministro Benjamin Netanyahu difese quel muro e gli disse che Gesù, in quella terra, parlava ebraico. Francesco lo corresse: aramaico. Era un dettaglio, ma ricordava che Gesù non appartiene a una sola tradizione. Nel dicembre 2024 Francesco pregò in Vaticano davanti a un presepe arrivato da Betlemme, con Gesù Bambino adagiato su una kefiah. Poche settimane prima aveva scritto che, secondo alcuni esperti, ciò che accade a Gaza ha le caratteristiche di un genocidio e andrebbe indagato con attenzione. Il 21 dicembre, davanti alla Curia, disse dei bambini bombardati a Gaza: «Questa è crudeltà, questa non è guerra». E fino alle ultime settimane della sua vita telefonò quasi ogni sera alla parrocchia della Sacra Famiglia di Gaza. Quelle chiamate non fermavano le bombe, ma dicevano alle famiglie rifugiate lì dentro che non erano sole. La preghiamo di raccoglierne l'eredità, a cominciare dai luoghi in cui i cristiani palestinesi si sentono oggi più soli.

Gaza è il primo di questi luoghi. Una comunità cristiana di circa mille persone vi ha vissuto i bombardamenti e la fame insieme al resto del suo popolo, e non è stata risparmiata. Nell'ottobre 2023 un attacco israeliano ha colpito il complesso della chiesa greco-ortodossa di San Porfirio, dove si erano rifugiate circa 450 persone, uccidendone diciotto. Nel dicembre successivo una madre e sua figlia sono state uccise nel recinto della parrocchia della Sacra Famiglia da un cecchino israeliano, come ha riferito il Patriarcato latino. Nel luglio 2025 il fuoco di un carro armato israeliano ha colpito la chiesa stessa, uccidendo tre persone e ferendo il parroco. Israele ha parlato di errore. Quella chiesa però era nota a tutti, ospitava da quasi due anni centinaia di sfollati e non era la prima volta che veniva colpita.

Il cosiddetto cessate il fuoco mediato dagli Stati Uniti, entrato in vigore il 10 ottobre 2025, non ha fermato il genocidio. Da allora, secondo il ministero della Salute di Gaza, Israele ha ucciso nella Striscia almeno 1.460 palestinesi, e in Cisgiordania, dove dall'ottobre 2023 le forze israeliane e i coloni hanno ucciso più di mille palestinesi, le uccisioni continuano. Nella notte tra il 2 e il 3 ottobre di quest'anno un attacco aereo israeliano contro un edificio residenziale a Gaza City ha ucciso Maysa Khader Ibrahim Abu Daoud e sua figlia Mary Hafez Michel Najjar. Durante i bombardamenti erano state sfollate e avevano trascorso parte del loro tempo aiutando i parrocchiani e le famiglie rifugiate presso la Sacra Famiglia. I loro funerali si sono svolti il 3 ottobre nella chiesa greco-ortodossa di San Porfirio. Lei ha inviato un messaggio di cordoglio a padre Gabriel Romanelli, e quel gesto conta. Ma le parole di cordoglio, da sole, non bastano a fermare le atrocità e a porre fine al genocidio. La comunità di Gaza ha bisogno di protezione.

Il secondo è Taybeh, il villaggio collinare a nord-est di Ramallah che viene solitamente descritto come l'ultima cittadina interamente cristiana della Cisgiordania. I coloni israeliani vi hanno compiuto ripetute incursioni, incendiando automobili e terreni agricoli e avanzando sulle terre da cui dipendono le famiglie del luogo. Nel luglio 2025 i capi delle Chiese di Gerusalemme vi si sono recati insieme dopo gli incendi divampati nei pressi del cimitero e della chiesa bizantina di San Giorgio, appiccati deliberatamente dai coloni secondo le Chiese. Un anno dopo Israele ha dichiarato Taybeh e la vicina Rimon zona militare chiusa, e il 5 agosto alcuni coloni sono entrati nella casa di una famiglia della parrocchia, vi hanno portato le loro pecore e hanno piantato tende sul terreno.

Cinque giorni più tardi padre Bashar Fawadleh, parroco latino di Taybeh, ha detto a Vatican News che la sua gente si sentiva dimenticata e completamente sola, che alcuni erano pronti ad abbandonare tutto, e Le ha chiesto di intervenire. Il 16 agosto, all'Angelus, Lei ha rinnovato l'appello a porre fine alla violenza contro i civili palestinesi in Cisgiordania e ha esortato la comunità internazionale a far avanzare una soluzione a due Stati. Gliene siamo grati. La gente di Taybeh, però, aspettava di sentire il nome del proprio villaggio e il nome di chi la minaccia e la aggredisce. Chiede di essere protetta da chi, in Cisgiordania, uccide i palestinesi e li scaccia dalle loro terre. Ci sono dei responsabili. Non nominarli non protegge chi resta nella propria terra, e non dice la verità su chi ha dovuto lasciarla.

Una famiglia che lascia Taybeh dopo che il suo uliveto è stato incendiato e la strada per Ramallah chiusa non è emigrata nel senso ordinario della parola. È stata spinta fuori, un passo alla volta.

A Betlemme la stessa spinta è più silenziosa. Dopo l'ottobre 2023 i pellegrini hanno smesso di arrivare, alberghi e laboratori di legno d'ulivo hanno dovuto chiudere, e i permessi che consentivano agli uomini di lavorare in Israele sono stati annullati quasi da un giorno all'altro. Il vescovo William Shomali, vicario generale e vicario patriarcale per Gerusalemme e la Palestina, che da anni chiede giustizia, verità e pace per questa terra, ha parlato di un nuovo insediamento israeliano progettato su terre di famiglie cristiane di Beit Sahour, terre alle quali i proprietari non possono più nemmeno avvicinarsi.

Il cardinale Pizzaballa ha descritto questo processo con precisione, e la Santa Sede ne possiede la documentazione, raccolta in buona parte dai suoi stessi giornalisti. Proprio per questo ci permettiamo di segnalarLe un'assenza. Roberto Cetera, per anni corrispondente de L'Osservatore Romano da Israele e dai territori palestinesi, ha raccontato Gaza, l'occupazione, la violenza dei coloni e la condizione delle comunità cristiane con una continuità rara nei media occidentali. Scriveva ancora per il giornale nell'aprile 2026. Nel settembre dello stesso anno veniva presentato come «già corrispondente dell'Osservatore Romano in Israele e Palestina». Non sappiamo perché quel rapporto sia terminato. Sappiamo però che con lui il giornale vaticano ha perso una delle voci che più sistematicamente documentavano ciò che accadeva ai palestinesi, e La preghiamo di far sì che quella testimonianza non venga a mancare.

Non siamo i soli a rivolgerLe questo appello. La rete Preti contro il Genocidio, presentatasi pubblicamente nel settembre 2025, oggi riunisce più di 2.600 membri del clero, sacerdoti europei e americani e di molti altri Paesi, e conta fra i suoi sostenitori cardinali del Sudafrica, del Marocco e del Guatemala. Siamo convinti che siano soltanto una parte di quanti, nel clero, la pensano allo stesso modo senza dirlo pubblicamente. Il 22 settembre di quest'anno circa 150 tra sacerdoti e frati, insieme a un vescovo e a suore, sono partiti in processione dalla chiesa di Santo Spirito in Sassia e hanno percorso via della Conciliazione fino ai margini di piazza San Pietro. Si sono fermati davanti all'Ambasciata dello Stato di Palestina presso la Santa Sede, lo Stato che la Santa Sede ha riconosciuto formalmente con l'accordo del 2015, e lì hanno intonato un canto dedicato a Taybeh. Poi hanno proseguito fino alla sede di Leonardo, il gruppo italiano degli armamenti, portando un sudario con i nomi di 300 bambini palestinesi e libanesi uccisi dopo la proclamazione dei cessate il fuoco.

Quella processione era rivolta a Lei, con affetto filiale. I preti volevano dirLe che senza le parole giuste il genocidio non si fermerà, e che quella di Gaza non è una guerra. Si chiedono perché i cristiani del mondo non ascoltino i cristiani della Terra Santa e non ne sentano il dolore. San Paolo lo aveva scritto ai Corinzi: «se un membro soffre, tutte le membra soffrono insieme». La pregano di andare in Palestina e a Gaza, e di usare la parola genocidio. Chiedono protezione per le comunità cristiane palestinesi. E chiedono che si interrompano i rapporti e i finanziamenti che sostengono questo genocidio, e che Israele sia sottoposto a sanzioni, come tante Chiese fecero per il Sudafrica dell'apartheid.

Il 16 settembre, nel sessantesimo anniversario di Nostra aetate, tre dicasteri hanno pubblicato con la Sua approvazione la Nota «Un cammino di speranza». Sessant'anni fa la dichiarazione conciliare deplorava, «come contraria alla volontà di Cristo, qualsiasi discriminazione tra gli uomini o persecuzione perpetrata per motivi di razza e di colore, di condizione sociale o di religione». La nuova Nota considera ogni persecuzione per motivi religiosi una violazione della dignità umana, riconosce la crescente consapevolezza dell'islamofobia e chiede ai credenti di essere «costruttori di ponti, non di muri». Ammette anche che i conflitti in Medio Oriente hanno messo alla prova i ponti costruiti fra ebrei e cristiani. Quei ponti hanno valore, e nessuno di noi vuole indebolirli. Ma a Betlemme il muro di separazione è ancora lì, e i cristiani palestinesi vivono dall'altra parte.

La Santa Sede ha fatto bene a non aderire al Board of Peace e a ricordare che le crisi vanno gestite nel quadro delle Nazioni Unite. Può fare ancora molto. È uno Stato sovrano, con piene relazioni diplomatiche con Israele stabilite dopo l'Accordo Fondamentale del 1993 e un accordo con lo Stato di Palestina firmato nel 2015. Dispone di conferenze episcopali in ogni Paese che arma Israele o commercia con esso, di università cattoliche, ospedali e scuole in tutta la regione, e di un pulpito che raggiunge più di un miliardo di persone. Le Scritture che la Chiesa annuncia ogni giorno sono chiare. Gesù stesso, a Nazaret, annunciò la sua missione con le parole di Isaia: era stato mandato «a proclamare ai prigionieri la liberazione e ai ciechi la vista; a rimettere in libertà gli oppressi» (Lc 4,18). E la lettera di Giacomo avverte che dire a un fratello senza cibo «Andatevene in pace, riscaldatevi e saziatevi», senza dargli il necessario, non serve a nulla, perché la fede, «se non è seguita dalle opere, in se stessa è morta» (Gc 2,16-17).

Per questo, perché i cristiani palestinesi possano restare nella loro terra, con il loro popolo e con dignità, Le chiediamo con rispetto alcuni gesti concreti. Le chiediamo di andare in Palestina e a Gaza, come ha fatto il cardinale Pizzaballa, e di pregare con quelle comunità nelle loro chiese. Di sollevare formalmente presso il governo israeliano ogni attacco a Taybeh, a Betlemme e a Gaza, la revoca delle residenze a Gerusalemme Est e il divieto di ricongiungimento familiare. Di chiedere ai vescovi d'Europa e del Nord America di impegnarsi con forza presso i propri governi sulla violenza dei coloni e sul commercio con gli insediamenti illegali. La preghiamo di invitare un cardinale a trascorrere la stagione della raccolta delle olive a Taybeh, accanto a quelle famiglie. E La preghiamo di ascoltare i Suoi preti quando chiedono misure economiche e diplomatiche capaci di fermare il genocidio. Un'istituzione che ha negoziato con Napoleone e con il blocco sovietico è perfettamente capace di fare tutto questo.

Sappiamo che il passo più difficile è quello dal lamento all'azione, ma è quel passo che oggi serve. Condannare non basta, quando una chiesa è stata incendiata o bombardata, quando dei cristiani sono stati uccisi, quando sacerdoti e religiosi vengono insultati, umiliati e molestati. Le condanne non hanno fermato nulla di tutto questo. Un monastero vandalizzato produce dichiarazioni nel giro di poche ore. Un posto di blocco chiuso, una terrazza di ulivi confiscata, una carta d'identità revocata, una strada per i coloni tracciata attraverso la terra di famiglie cristiane non producono nemmeno quelle. Eppure, nell'arco di vent'anni, faranno molto di più per svuotare la Terra Santa dei suoi cristiani di qualunque incendiario.

La presenza dei cristiani palestinesi conta anche per un'altra ragione. Da anni lo Stato israeliano usa l'islamofobia come uno strumento di guerra. Presentare ciò che accade in Palestina come uno «scontro di civiltà», l'Occidente giudaico-cristiano contro l'Islam, trasforma un popolo a cui è stata tolta la terra in una minaccia da contenere. È proprio l'islamofobia che la Nota vaticana del 16 settembre su Nostra aetate chiede di riconoscere e di respingere.

Per questo La invitiamo a diffidare di una formula molto usata in Occidente, la «tradizione giudaico-cristiana». È una costruzione recente. Si è diffusa negli Stati Uniti fra gli anni Trenta e Cinquanta del Novecento, prima come risposta all'antisemitismo e al fascismo, poi come bandiera dell'Occidente religioso contro il comunismo ateo durante la Guerra fredda. Per quasi due millenni, prima di allora, l'Europa cristiana aveva emarginato e perseguitato gli ebrei, e la Chiesa stessa ha dovuto attendere Nostra aetate per voltare pagina. Oggi quella formula serve soprattutto a tracciare un confine. Unisce ebrei e cristiani in un'unica civiltà occidentale e lascia fuori l'Islam, e con l'Islam i cristiani d'Oriente, che pregano in arabo e in siriaco e vivono da secoli accanto ai musulmani. Nostra aetate non ha seguito questa strada. Accanto agli ebrei nominava i musulmani, che la Chiesa «guarda anche con stima» perché «adorano l'unico Dio».

I cristiani palestinesi fanno la fila agli stessi posti di blocco dei loro vicini musulmani, perdono terra a favore degli stessi insediamenti, muoiono sotto le stesse bombe. La loro presenza mostra che il problema di questa terra è l'occupazione. Per questo crediamo che Israele voglia ridurre il numero dei cristiani nella popolazione araba palestinese. Una Terra Santa senza cristiani palestinesi sarebbe più facile da raccontare come uno scontro fra ebrei e musulmani, e la terra di Gesù perderebbe per sempre i suoi cristiani originari. I Preti contro il Genocidio riportano le cose a ciò che sono: un popolo espropriato, che vive sotto un sistema che l'organizzazione israeliana B'Tselem ha definito un regime di supremazia ebraica dal fiume Giordano al Mediterraneo, e i cui figli, musulmani e cristiani, muoiono insieme.

La Terra Santa è un mosaico in cui ebrei, cristiani e musulmani hanno vissuto, pregato e sepolto i loro morti per secoli. Ridurla a un'alleanza fra due fedi contro una terza significa perderla. Le tre fedi monoteiste hanno il dovere di custodire il dialogo che Nostra aetate ha aperto e di combattere insieme, con saggezza, ogni estremismo, compreso quello che usa la religione per giustificare la conquista della terra altrui. Lei può farlo con le parole e con i gesti: riunendo a Gerusalemme i capi religiosi ebrei, cristiani e musulmani, e ricordando a tutti che nessuna fede autorizza a cacciare un popolo dalla propria terra.

Santo Padre, il Suo pontificato in Terra Santa sarà ricordato per questo: se tra dieci anni i parrocchiani di padre Fawadleh saranno ancora a Taybeh, e se una bambina palestinese battezzata questo Natale a Betlemme potrà immaginare di crescervi un giorno i propri figli. I cristiani palestinesi sono gli eredi delle prime comunità cristiane. Non Le chiedono soltanto una parola. Le chiedono di essere salvati e di poter restare nella loro terra, insieme al loro popolo e con dignità, e che il genocidio di quel popolo finisca. La parola, detta da Lei, sarebbe il primo passo, e il mondo la ascolterebbe.

«In verità io vi dico: tutto quello che avete fatto a uno solo di questi miei fratelli più piccoli, l'avete fatto a me» (Mt 25,40).

Le régime obligatoire verse 9 612 euros aux proches d'un artisan ou d'un commerçant mort en activité, quel que soit son revenu, et aucune rente. Pour un artisan de quarante ans qui laisse deux enfants, c'est 4 % de ce qu'il faudrait. Le reste ne se règle que par contrat, et avant.

Le régime obligatoire des artisans et commerçants verse un capital-décès de 9 612 euros aux proches d'un indépendant mort en activité. C'est un forfait : 20 % du plafond annuel de la sécurité sociale, fixé à 48 060 euros en 2026. S'y ajoutent 2 403 euros par enfant à charge.

Ma position tient en une phrase : l'indépendant qui a quelqu'un à sa charge, ou une dette garantie sur ses biens personnels, ne peut pas s'en tenir à ce forfait. Quatre raisons, puis la marche à suivre.

Première raison : le forfait ignore le revenu

Le capital est le même pour un bénéfice de 20 000 euros et pour un bénéfice de 80 000. Il ne dépend ni de l'ancienneté, ni du nombre d'années pendant lesquelles le foyer devra vivre sans ce revenu.

Prenons un artisan de quarante ans, 40 000 euros de revenu net, deux enfants de six et neuf ans. Si le foyer doit remplacer 60 % de ce revenu jusqu'à l'autonomie du cadet, soit quinze ans, le besoin est de 360 000 euros. Le régime obligatoire verse 9 612 euros, plus 2 403 euros par enfant : 14 418 euros. Quatre pour cent du besoin, soit un peu plus de sept mois sur quinze ans. Les hypothèses sont les miennes ; chacun refait le calcul avec ses chiffres.

Deuxième raison : le régime ne verse aucune rente

Le capital est versé une fois. Le régime invalidité-décès des artisans et commerçants ne prévoit ni rente de conjoint ni rente d'éducation.

La pension de réversion existe, mais elle relève de la retraite. Dans le régime de base, elle suppose le mariage, cinquante-cinq ans révolus et des ressources sous plafond. Le conjoint de quarante ans attend quinze ans. Le partenaire de PACS et le concubin n'y ont pas droit.

Troisième raison : l'indépendant n'a pas d'employeur

Le salarié reçoit moins du régime de base, mais il est le plus souvent couvert par un contrat collectif, payé en partie par son employeur. L'indépendant n'a que le forfait, sauf contrat souscrit par lui-même. Les autres professions libérales relèvent chacune de leur caisse, avec des montants propres. Le président de SAS relève du régime général : il laisse 4 009 euros, et sa prévoyance passe par un contrat souscrit par la société.

Quatrième raison : le forfait lui-même peut être perdu

Les cotisations. Le droit suppose des cotisations vieillesse et invalidité-décès à jour au jour du décès. À la CIPAV, le défaut de paiement prive les ayants droit du capital ; une régularisation reste possible dans les six mois.

Le délai. Rien n'est automatique. Les personnes qui étaient à la charge effective, totale et permanente du défunt sont prioritaires, à condition de déposer leur demande à la caisse primaire dans le mois. Passé ce mois, le capital va dans l'ordre au conjoint, aux enfants, aux autres descendants, aux ascendants. Au bout de deux ans, il n'est plus dû.

La carrière, pour le retraité. Il faut 80 trimestres validés au régime des indépendants. Depuis le 5 avril 2026, il n'est plus exigé d'avoir terminé sa carrière comme indépendant.

Trois vérifications ne coûtent rien : demander à l'Urssaf une attestation de régularité, la ranger avec les papiers que la famille ouvrira en premier, et écrire sur la même feuille le nom de la caisse et le délai d'un mois.

Combien assurer

Je préconise un calcul en quatre lignes, dans cet ordre :

1. le revenu que le foyer devrait remplacer, multiplié par le nombre d'années jusqu'à l'autonomie du dernier enfant ;
2. plus les dettes qui ne sont pas déjà assurées — un prêt professionnel cautionné sur les biens personnels, un découvert, un crédit-bail. Un emprunt couvert par une assurance emprunteur ne se compte pas deux fois ;
3. moins le patrimoine liquide déjà constitué ;
4. moins le capital du régime obligatoire.

Le résultat est le capital à assurer. Il baisse chaque année : les enfants grandissent, les dettes s'amortissent, le patrimoine monte. Un contrat se révise donc tous les trois à cinq ans, à la baisse.

Quel contrat ?

Le contrat adapté est une assurance temporaire décès : une prime, un capital, une durée. La prime est perdue si le risque ne se réalise pas, et c'est ce qui la rend peu

D’Amico) Le violenze spaventose e senza precedenti che sta compiendo l’esercito israeliano, il vero e proprio genocidio della popolazione di Gaza, le torture indiscriminate inflitte a decine di migliaia di prigionieri, le continue operazioni di pulizia etnica, l’impunità assoluta di cui Israele sembra godere nonostante i suoi crimini efferati, non sono comprensibili se non sullo sfondo dell’apocalittica cristiana. L’Occidente e la Chiesa, che in silenzio assistono in diretta alla barbarie più perversa senza dire una parola o osare una condanna chiara e netta, sono il segno di una sottomissione del mondo all’ebraismo che non si può spiegare in termini semplicemente naturali o geopolitici. Occorre comprendere la densità teologica di quanto sta accadendo. L’ebraismo talmudico, avendo rifiutato Nostro Signore Gesù Cristo, il vero Messia atteso dai patriarchi e dai profeti, è ancora in attesa di un falso messia, che darà agli ebrei -nella loro visione- il dominio terreno, politico e materiale del mondo, imponendo alle genti gli articoli della legge noachica. Il regno dell’Anticristo si annuncia come un governo mondiale controllato da Gerusalemme che si scaglierà innanzitutto contro la Chiesa Cattolica cercando di sottometterla completamente e, in ultima istanza, di distruggerla dalle fondamenta, perseguitandola senza alcuna pietà. I cristiano-sionisti americani e i cattolici conservatori che simpatizzano per Israele e gli Stati Uniti, pensandoli come forze che frenano l’Islam o la “minaccia” rappresentata, per loro, dalla Russia e dalla Cina, sono in un grave errore e, anziché operare come forza katekhontica e trattenere il male con la forza della verità, nel loro accecamento lo favoriscono e lo accelerano, rifiutando di vedere nell’ebraismo talmudico e nell’odierno stato di Israele le vere, supreme forze anticristiche.. Una profonda sintesi di questo attualissimo problema ci è offerta da un pregevole studio di don Jean-Michel Gleize, uno dei migliori teologi tomisti viventi.

– 1 – Dalla scienza alla sapienza

1. (studio di don J.M. Gleize) Secondo l’uso corrente^[1], la parola «scienza» è impiegata per designare diversi tipi di conoscenze molto varie, che hanno però tutte lo stesso punto in comune: sono ottenute secondo mezzi riconosciuti, grazie ai quali ciò che viene scoperto o dimostrato merita l’assenso. Ciò detto, abbiamo qui né più né meno che una definizione nominale: essa considera le cose come dall’esterno, a partire da quelle loro caratteristiche che appaiono immediatamente e che i più considerano accertate. Resta da dare una definizione reale, che esprima la natura stessa o l’essenza della scienza. Ed è qui che cominciano le difficoltà e che, per superarle, è indispensabile andare al di là delle parole.

2. La parola «scienza» è ambivalente e può designare due tipi assolutamente distinti di conoscenze. In un primo senso, la scienza può definirsi come la ricerca di una spiegazione causale immediatamente constatabile, capace di rendere conto direttamente dei fatti osservabili. Tutto poggia qui sul verdetto dell’osservazione, a sua volta motivato dal ricorso ai fatti. Così si può definire la «scienza sperimentale», la scienza nel senso moderno del termine. Altra è, in un secondo senso, la scienza intesa come la ricerca di una spiegazione causale più approfondita, che cerca, al di là delle cause immediatamente constatabili, le ragioni assolutamente prime e generali (o universali) dei fatti osservati. La scienza (intesa nel primo senso) fisica, biologica o medica studia il cancro come una malattia e cerca di assegnarne le cause immediate, a livello dell’organismo, a partire da sintomi osservabili. La scienza (intesa nel secondo senso) studia il cancro come un male di ordine fisico, cioè come una forma di privazione della salute, e cerca di assegnarne la ragione fondamentale e assolutamente prima: che cos’è il male fisico in particolare e il male in generale, e perché esiste? Intesa in questo secondo senso, la scienza può chiamarsi «sapienza», per distinguerla dalla scienza intesa nel primo senso.

3. Per farla breve, diciamo che ogni scienza parla delle cose osservabili (è il soggetto) per dirne le cause (è il predicato); le scienze intese nel primo senso, e diverse dalla sapienza, ne dicono le cause immediate e prossime; la sapienza ne dice le cause remote, le cause universali e assolutamente prime.

4. La «geopolitica» è una scienza? Potrebbe essere essa stessa una forma di sapienza? È ciò che vorremmo verificare qui, in occasione di un fenomeno più o meno ricorrente nella storia umana, i cui presupposti affondano le radici piuttosto lontano nel passato.

– 2 – Dalla geopolitica alla teologia

2.1) Dei fatti osservabili

5. Gli Stati Uniti sono stati il primo paese a riconoscere ufficialmente il nuovo Stato d’Israele, il 31 gennaio 1949, e ad aprire la loro ambasciata a Tel Aviv, il 28 marzo 1949. Quasi cinquant’anni dopo, nel 1995, il Congresso ha adottato una legge che obbliga gli Stati Uniti a trasferire la loro ambasciata in Israele da Tel Aviv a Gerusalemme e a considerare Gerusalemme come la capitale d’Israele. La cosa fu fatta, per iniziativa del Presidente Donald Trump, il 14 maggio 2018, in occasione del settantesimo anniversario della dichiarazione d’indipendenza dello Stato d’Israele. Ivanka Trump, figlia e consigliera del Presidente, rappresentò gli Stati Uniti alla cerimonia d’inaugurazione.

6. Ovviamente, nella Striscia di Gaza furono organizzate da Hamas manifestazioni contro l’inaugurazione a Gerusalemme dell’ambasciata americana. L’esercito israeliano aprì allora il fuoco dal suo confine con Gaza. Di fronte alle critiche internazionali, solo gli Stati Uniti sostennero Israele al Consiglio di Sicurezza delle Nazioni Unite, mentre questo trasferimento d’ambasciata era stato descritto come un «atto di provocazione e di ostilità contro la nazione islamica» in un testo dell’Organizzazione della Cooperazione Islamica. E d’altra parte, nel febbraio 2019, la commissione d’inchiesta delle Nazioni Unite concluse che le violenze commesse da Israele durante le manifestazioni del 2018 potevano «costituire crimini di guerra o crimini contro l’umanità».

7. Un comportamento del genere, a dir poco sorprendente, soprattutto da parte degli Stati Uniti, richiede qualche spiegazione. Quali potrebbero esserne le cause, immediate e prossime?

2.2) Una spiegazione geopolitica?

8. È qui che, anche se può senza dubbio tentare di trovare tale spiegazione, la sola geopolitica rischia di lasciarci insoddisfatti. Come spiegare infatti il sostegno smisurato fornito dagli Stati Uniti allo Stato d’Israele, e ciò da decenni^[2]? La risposta non è evidente. Lo attesta il fatto che, senza essere minimamente antisemiti, gli americani che hanno conservato ancora un po’ di buon senso sono esasperati dalla politica che viene loro imposta nei confronti dello Stato d’Israele^[3].

9. Vi è certamente, per il momento, una convergenza di vedute e di interessi tra la destra religiosa israeliana e l’evangelismo politico americano, che può spiegare questa politica. Tale convergenza è stata del resto messa in evidenza – e perfino denunciata come tale – da colui che è attualmente il più influente dei giornalisti conservatori degli Stati Uniti, insieme a Candace Owens^[4]: Tucker Carlson^[5]. Contro ogni attesa, Laurie Cardoza-Moore, che è oggi una delle figure più in vista della lobby cristiano-sionista americana^[6], ha criticato aspramente l’uno e l’altra di questi due commentatori per il loro «odio verso gli ebrei», qualificando le loro idee come «eresia» e «demoniache». Simili epiteti appaiono non solo sorprendenti ma decisamente fuori luogo nel quadro di un’analisi che si attenesse a dati propriamente geopolitici. La reazione segnalata attesta che la suddetta convergenza, se rende direttamente conto del fenomeno segnalato e osservato, deve essa stessa trovare la sua ragion d’essere profonda in motivi più remoti, motivi la cui portata sarebbe universale e oltrepasserebbe il quadro ristretto di una dimensione profana. Ciò non dovrebbe forse farci pensare che il teologico-politico potrebbe qui prevalere sul geopolitico? E che la sapienza possa dare le vere spiegazioni che la scienza resta impotente a fornirci?

– 3 – Le chiavi di una teologia politica

Taiwan recently received its first two F-16V (Viper) fighter jets from the US under an $8 billion deal for 66 F-16Vs, approved during US President Donald Trump’s first term.

The F-16 Vipers landed at Taiwan’s Chihhangair Air Force Base in Taitung. President Lai Ching-te called it “a major milestone in elevating Taiwan’s air defense capabilities” and thanked the US for its “long-standing support.”

When Lockheed Martin delivers the 66 new jets by 2028, the Taiwanese Air Force will have more than 200 F-16 Viper fighter jets, making it the largest Viper-standard fleet in the Indo-Pacific region.

On paper, the twin-engine, nuclear-capable Dassault Rafale looks far more lethal than Lockheed Martin’s F-16 Viper, a single-engine lightweight fighter that first flew in 1974, more than five decades ago.

However, in modern times, fighter-jet battles are rarely one-on-one platform contests.

As heroic dogfights between fighter jets became a relic of the past and gave way to beyond-visual-range (BVR) contests, the battle for aerial supremacy became a system-of-systems contest rather than a straightforward one-on-one contest.

In this system-of-systems contest, a much less capable fighter aircraft can trounce a much superior aircraft if it integrates ground-, air-, and space-based sensors, capable radars, sensor fusion, an integrated battlespace display, and precision targeting.

In short, a networked fighter jet, even if less capable, is more lethal than a stand-alone aircraft.

Additionally, fighter jet deals are rarely purely military decisions; they are as much geopolitical as they are military.

It’s no surprise that a capable, cost-effective combat aircraft like the Saab JAS-39 Gripen struggled to find an export customer for over a decade. Again, after signing a deal with Brazil for the Gripen E/F variant in 2014, the aircraft failed to win other export customers for more than a decade.

While Gripen is a cutting-edge aircraft with state-of-the-art weapons, its biggest weakness was the lack of a powerful, influential backer on the global stage like the US or France.

Sweden, where Saab is based, is not really a global powerhouse, has a modest military, is not part of the nuclear club, and is not a member of the UN Security Council, unlike the US, Russia, France, the UK, and China, all of which are permanent members of the UNSC and enjoy veto power that could offer myriad advantages in geopolitical contests.

Brazil’s military transport aircraft, the Embraer C-390 Millennium, faces a similar challenge. Though capable and boasting an enviable safety record, it sells far fewer units than the American C-130J Super Hercules.

In other words, countries not only buy fighter jets; they also prefer to buy from countries with strong military and geopolitical clout.

This is where the US has an unmatched lead over competitors, including France, Russia, and China.

Consider, for example, Ukraine.

It not only received used F-16 fighter jets, but it also received Starlink support and US intelligence inputs, which allowed it to target military targets deep inside Russian territory.

Without this satellite and intelligence support, the F-16s would be only half as effective.

Similarly, consider Israel in the Middle East.

It has not only received advanced US fighter jets such as the F-15 and the F-35, but Jerusalem also gets full US intelligence support, pinpoint information on adversary military targets, and their military movements.

Similarly, Jerusalem gets early warning whenever Iran launches ballistic missiles towards it.

The US has nearly 20 military bases in the region and maintains advanced surface-to-air missile batteries, such as Patriot and THAAD, sea-based missile defense platforms, and AN/FPS-132 missile early-warning radar in the Middle East.

This diversified radar network ensures that not only does Israel receive early warning of every Iranian attack, but Iranian missiles and drones have to pass through a layered missile defense infrastructure spread over the whole of the Middle East before their projectiles can reach Israel.

It is these incremental weapons, missiles, radar and sensors, intelligence, and satellite support that ensure that Jerusalem comes out on top in every regional military conflict.

In the Six-Day War in 1967, Israel’s adversaries, Egypt, Jordan, and Syria, had advanced Soviet fighters, and yet Jerusalem was able to trounce their combined military might, thanks to the intelligence support it received.

Export of military platforms is perhaps the US’s most successful export commodity since the two World Wars.

According to SIPRI, between 2021 and 2025, the US was the world’s top military exporter, accounting for as much as 42% of global military exports.

France was a distant second with just a 9.8% share of global military exports.

However, this uncontested leadership depends on the superior performance of its military platforms in conflict.

So, basically, the US has a vested interest in ensuring the victory of militaries that field US military platforms.

On the other hand, countries that do not field US military platforms often struggle with poor intelligence support.

India, for instance, repeatedly requested Washington to provide satellite reconnaissance pictures to target Pakistani military positions on mountains during the Kargil War in 1999. But Washington declined India’s requests.

Had India bought US military planes, Washington would have, most probably, provided New Delhi with satellite imagery to target Pakistani military positions, so that India could hit these targets and Washington could market the efficiency of its jets.

In a potential conflict between China and Taiwan, Washington would provide Taipei with every possible intelligence and satellite support so that its fighter jets and other military platforms are not trounced against Chinese weapon systems.

As we have seen in the Ukraine War, no other country currently has a satellite network comparable to Starlink. In a potential conflict with China, this US support could be decisive.

With this US support, the F-16 Vipers could be far more lethal than they actually are.

Rafale is a very capable platform. It has an AESA radar, a SPECTRA electronic warfare suite, long-range air-to-air missiles such as Meteor, precision-strike munitions such as Hammer guided bombs, a long-range SCALP EG cruise missile, twin engines, and nuclear capability, which make it a lethal fighter.

However, despite its status as a major military power, France lacks the heft of the United States.

Despite the current “frosty” US-India ties, New Delhi must find a way to work with the US while preserving its strategic autonomy and boosting its Make-in-India initiative.
